Very good basic bbq. Good choice of bbq sauce on the tables for an added touch if you want. Sweet potato casserole was a good side, few places offer that.

We're from out of town and that's always a risk. entered when they were just opening for dinner on a Tuesday nite. Hostess hadnt arrived yet and no one else wanted to do the seating, so we stood there for a while., two other tables in the place Took about 20 minutes+ for them to cook up grilled chicken and... For all the rewards received for BBQ, ribs were disappointing. Dried out tasting. Excellent tasting desserts though. Nice atmosphere.

In town for 40 days and decided after a long day at work I would enjoy a good meal or that was the plan. The girl at the front desk recommended this place so I thought I would give it a try. Got there and the place has about 6 cars in the parking lot so I started to think... More

We stopped in to this restaurant because we didn't want to wait 45 minutes at Texas Roadhouse. It was such a great find! We sat right down at a table in the bar area. The bartender was wonderful and our waitress was a sweetheart. The award winning BBQ lived up to its titles and the sirloin steak could have won... More

We saw the sign for Texas Outlaw my wife and I thought why not give it a try. Bad idea we arrive and I should have known when I saw the help wanted sign. We were greeted quickly and seated without any problem. Then everything went wrong. We waited for approximately 6 minutes before we saw a waitress. We ordered... More

Like some other reviews, we tried this place due to the wait at the nearby Roadhouse. Nice atmosphere, we appreciated that the "sport TV bar" is separated from the dining area somewhat. My wife really enjoyed their house salad and Ribeye, finding it cooked to her perfection, while I took a chance and tried something different. Their Catfish was a... More

It was close to our hotel (within walking distance). The food was good, as was the service. I had the Ribeye Steak. It was cooked as I asked for. The portion was a decent size. Service was good. We had a little wait after we got seated but once our order was taken everything proceeded right along. A good enough... More

We went to Texas Roadhouse first, but there was an hour wait, so we went across the street to Texas Outlaw. Horrible experience. First, we asked about the special on the board. The waitress said she hadn't been up front so she had no idea what it was. She said she'd only been there a week, so she didn't know... More

We stopped in during a baseball tournament week, and the food was so good, we had to go back a second time... Ribs, brisket and chicken were all fantastic. we had a large group and they were very timely and had everything right. Recommend this to anyone in the area.

Description
Welcome to Texas Outlaw BBQ, judged America's GREATEST RIBS and Barbecue all over the nation. Our restaurant in Elizabethtown, KY is a reflection of our storied National Competition BBQ Cooking Team, which has been competing all over North America for decades winning over 300 national awards to date. Each year, we serve up well over a quarter-million pounds of BBQ from coast-to-coast. We started in Houston, TX and our restaurant has been operating in Elizabethtown, KY for the past 15 years. We use our same seasoning and slow-smoking style that has given us the award-winning flavors you are about to experience in our award-winning ribs, beef brisket, pulled pork, turkey and chicken. We are REAL TEXAS BBQ with the authentic pink smoke ring in the meat created by our spices and 6-13 hours smoking our meats low-and-slow. The smoke ring means you're getting real hickory wood smoked BBQ, not some white, mushy, boiled, broiled or baked meat. We didn't earn the title of GREATEST RIBS IN AMERICA or LEGENDS OF BBQ by serving anything but quality meat, spiced and slow-smoked in the best made smokers in the world. You can be assured you will never eat pre-cooked, frozen or microwaved meat at TEXAS OUTLAW BBQ. Our smokers operate 24 hours/day, around the clock and if we don't sell it tonight we throw it away tonight. So as my grandmother always said, "The proofs in the pudding". So sit back, relax and enjoy your meal. We hope to see you soon!
