I knew when we arrived and did not smell smoke outside that this was probably not going to be what I was use to but they have won so many awards that we tried it anyway. I will say that the staff was very friendly and our waitress was very attentive. Complimentary rolls and butter were brought to our table.... More

They had good bbq. My husband enjoyed thier ribs that were tender and had a good smoke flavor. I had the pulled pork that was good. The food is reasonable but the beer was a little expensive. We did have a good meal overall and would recommend.

Stopped in for lunch. Service was fast and friendly. The restaurant was nicely decorated and clean. They were out of Chili so I ordered the French onion soup. It was good. I ordered the Smoked Turkey sandwich with fries. All was good. Service was good. They have a full bar. Gladly go back

Christian-both greeter & server-directed me to a booth. Seating is mostly tables, with a few booths. After viewing the large menu, the Cedar Plant Salmon was chosen. THis a one thick slice of fresh cut Norwegian Salmon, grilled well done. Side orders were BBQ beans & Outlaw Texas coleslaw. Dessert was Turtle Cheesecake, which is creamy cake layered with chocolate... More

Two couples on a Sat nite...Ribs! Ribeye! and burger. All cooked as requested. Good service. Surrounded by many hotels so don't let uncrowded parking lot fool you.

I've read a lot of mixed reviews on trip advisor about this restaurant but since it was located in front of my hotel I thought I would give it a shot. I ordered the half rack of ribs, steamed broccoli, and the potato salad. The broccoli was hot and was pretty average and the potato salad was average as well.... More

Very good basic bbq. Good choice of bbq sauce on the tables for an added touch if you want. Sweet potato casserole was a good side, few places offer that.

We're from out of town and that's always a risk. entered when they were just opening for dinner on a Tuesday nite. Hostess hadnt arrived yet and no one else wanted to do the seating, so we stood there for a while., two other tables in the place Took about 20 minutes+ for them to cook up grilled chicken and... For all the rewards received for BBQ, ribs were disappointing. Dried out tasting. Excellent tasting desserts though. Nice atmosphere.

In town for 40 days and decided after a long day at work I would enjoy a good meal or that was the plan. The girl at the front desk recommended this place so I thought I would give it a try. Got there and the place has about 6 cars in the parking lot so I started to think... More

Description
Welcome to Texas Outlaw BBQ, judged America's GREATEST RIBS and Barbecue all over the nation. Our restaurant in Elizabethtown, KY is a reflection of our storied National Competition BBQ Cooking Team, which has been competing all over North America for decades winning over 300 national awards to date. Each year, we serve up well over a quarter-million pounds of BBQ from coast-to-coast. We started in Houston, TX and our restaurant has been operating in Elizabethtown, KY for the past 15 years. We use our same seasoning and slow-smoking style that has given us the award-winning flavors you are about to experience in our award-winning ribs, beef brisket, pulled pork, turkey and chicken. We are REAL TEXAS BBQ with the authentic pink smoke ring in the meat created by our spices and 6-13 hours smoking our meats low-and-slow. The smoke ring means you're getting real hickory wood smoked BBQ, not some white, mushy, boiled, broiled or baked meat. We didn't earn the title of GREATEST RIBS IN AMERICA or LEGENDS OF BBQ by serving anything but quality meat, spiced and slow-smoked in the best made smokers in the world. You can be assured you will never eat pre-cooked, frozen or microwaved meat at TEXAS OUTLAW BBQ. Our smokers operate 24 hours/day, around the clock and if we don't sell it tonight we throw it away tonight. So as my grandmother always said, "The proofs in the pudding". So sit back, relax and enjoy your meal. We hope to see you soon!
