This is typically a rather entertaining, otherwise standard, 24-hour diner. Service is prompt, prices are low and the coffee is good. Good chance you will get some people watching in.

This place is always open. It's the ultimate greasy spoon, and can get extremely interesting after midnight.

Cash only and the place needs a good cleaning. I have breakfast there when I'm getting my car serviced. Nothing to brag about.

We enjoyed a great breakfast at this charming little neighborhood restaurant, Locals shared this little secret with us. Open 24 hours. Experienced " Goetta" for the first time. Love the local flavor and the genuine sweetness of the staff. Will return.

A big band jukebox, Geotta, lettuce and tomato, waitresses older than dirt, water dripping from the ceiling, and ashtrays on every table. What's not to like? I walked in and sat down in a booth with no springs! It was classic. The food was good and cheap and gave you the classic diner feel. Why? Because it's a dive diner.... More

My husband discovered this famed greasy spoon earlier this year, and discovered that it no longer allowed smoking. We had breakfast there on a couple of occasions - but today was the last. The place reeked of stale smoke, and customers where puffing away. They have begun to serve beer, so nonsmoking hours are mid-day, 11-4. The food is ok,... More

We quickly needed to find a restaurant last night in the Covington area that was not too far from Notre Dame Academy. A quick search on my phone showed 3.5 stars for the Anchor Grill on Tripadvisor and 4 stars from another food review web site. WITHOUT looking at the reviews specifically, we went there for dinner. Big mistake. We... More

...and extremely overpriced. Every meal is some variation of extremely greasy (fill in the blank). And, who doesn't take credit cards these days!?

Being a fan of anything nautical this place is adorable. "The Band" stands strong and lively in one corner of the diner. The food is alright, but don't expect anything grand. It's a good hangout - they allow smoking, too. I'm not a fan of the Goetta but it's different and one of those should-try-once things!

This is your classic dive diner. Known for it's late hours and post bar hopping atmosphere. It looks like the 50's. It's menu is no nonsense and don't expect 5 star. But if you want a decent breakfast it's passable. I will also say given the low investment in the atmosphere the prices should be lower. It allows smoking. Don't... More
