Stopped in to ripple around happy hour and got seated at the bar. This is a deceptively creative fusion of cocktails and wine, and exceptional small plate/bar food. Started off with Wine and spirit cocktails, but then built our own wine tasting out of their...great selection because you can get multiple sized pores. Great selection of cheese and Salumi, and a great, fun atmosphere! Would love to come back again! A quintessential wine bar!More

My wife and I decided to try this rather new restaurant. Located in a small storefront interesting space that was an alley until 1910 you enter through a tight cozy opening alongside the incredibly minuscule kitchen that you will soon come to realizes more like...a Pandora's box of magic! There is a fantastic offering of many wines to try including several that I have never heard or experienced. Try the Calcarious orange-colored wine from south eastern Italy. The menu features an incredible charcuterie board offering next to a smaller tappas-style menu selection. This evening I took a chance outside my normal likes and it tried the shrimp and grits dish. Bar none this was the tastiest shrimp dish I had ever eaten and had exclaimed so to my wife and the waitress. My wife tried a petite beef Wellington style dish that was expertly cooked and just had the perfect delicate balance of seasoning. With restaurant table seating for no more than about 28 a reservation is recommended. Bar seating would take on perhaps another 20. When it's not raining there is a small patio also. I for one will certainly be returning soon!More

My husband and I enjoyed a date night here as our first stop for drinks. I wished we would have stayed for our dinner as well! We ordered a tasteful and unique charcuterie board, local whiskey, wine, & cocktails. Our bartender was very helpful, knowledgeable,...and friendly! The bar had large plastic separators to keep things safe from COVID. We will for sure return to this Covington treasure!More

Visited Ripple on a Saturday evening on the recommendation of a friend and it was stellar! Got seated at a two-top outside and the server recommended the shrimp nachos which she said would be life-changing. She was young so she may not be all that...well-versed on life changing events, but they were fantastic. We also got the seared scallops which were prepared perfectly and served with some diced up veggies. We seriously started thinking about moving to Covington so we would be walking distance to Ripple. (We do that sort of thing a lot) Can't wait to go back!More

We had hoped Ripple was our little secret, but it's not fair to others to keep it that way. Covington needed a solid wine bar and this is it! The space is modern and intimate, but comfortable. The staff is fantastic, highly attentive and knowledeable...about the wines and taste profiles. The wine itself is excellent with a broad selection from across the globe in both reds and whites. The tapas are also great for just a quick bite or to make a full meal. They also understand Gluten Free food which is important. It's worth a visit if you haven't been yet. We'll likely see you there, it's our new favorite spot!More

Local person recommended it while I was parking on my first visit to Covington. Great staff and better food. Had the beef Wellington over a finely diced hash brown cooked in duck fat. Topped with an egg yolk and served with a great Pinot. Do...yourself a favor and go.More

We stopped in for a drink, and the staff was super friendly and helpful. I ordered the Red Sangria, which was outstanding, and my husband ordered one of their specialty cocktails, and he was not disappointed. You can actually watch them prepare their small plates...of food by the front window, and the presentation and deliciousness that comes from that tiny space is not to be missed! It was absolutely mouth-watering and we heard several comments on how great things were. We didn't try the food but can't wait to go back and sample several things, especially the beef wellington popovers! The ambiance is adorable with tables upstairs and a long bar downstairs! Such a cute place!More
