Travis, our Jim Beam tour guide, recommended the food at Fred’s after we finished our tour. Boy, are we glad he did. The brisket tacos were amazing! Tender brisket, topped with coleslaw and tangy BBQ sauce....a perfect finish to our Jim Beam tastings. It’s right...on campus on your way back to the gift shop. Swing by and grab some!More
The food here is second to none. I think I have tried almost everything on their menu and have not been disappointed by a thing. The prices are reasonable. The flavor will stick with you for quite a while.
After gong to Bernheim Forest we went across the street here to eat. For a smokehouse they cook nothing there. Very limited menu tacos, sandwiches and sides basically. No ribs, steaks just food brought in from somewhere else, saw this first hand, and a LOT...of yellowjackets. This is cafeteria style dining. Pay for your food and get it on a tray and find a table outside, about 6 of them. The tacos, brisket $12 for two, were so drenched in coleslaw juice the bottom of the paper box they came were was literally covered in juice. No side items to put on the tacos, just meat and slaw/juice. Mac & cheese was about tasteless, potato salad we threw out and the beans were decent. $2 a side for bake beans is a little much for the ambiance here. Marks, Longhorn steakhouse hell even Fazios was better than this. Real person here with plenty of reviews listed.More
Fred's Smokehouse is located on the Jim Beam distillery property and is a great place to grab a quick bite while visiting the sight. The sandwiches are wonderful and are a great value. The service was excellent. We opted for lunch before our tour.
Lovely pulled pork sliders with kettle chips finished off with a jim Beam Sunday!!!! Would of had more stars had there been more sliders Haha!!! It's a great little place that finishes of the tour perfectly

According to the website, the smokehouse is closed between December 1st and March 1st.... and while the food is great, i wouldn't necessarily call it a "Restaurant". Its mostly just an ordering area inside where made to order food is prepared, and some patio seating outside. Still highly recommend, but in warmer months!
