The only reason this restaurant is going to make it is because there is no other competition in the area, and that's exactly the reason why we stopped here...there was nowhere else to go. Our waitress was very friendly, but the food is something I could have made myself at home. I ordered a burger which was covered in Sweet... More

Horrible service on a Friday night. Get a drink and take my time consuming it. Then sit there for 10-15 minutes waiting for the bartender/waitress to return? Pass.... Bad service

Walked in and saw waitress dipping cheese. She got some on her fingers and licked it off. We ordered drinks upon entering but felt it best leave. We won't be back.

We liked this food a lot! Even our fussy eater liked it. She had a ham and cheese omlet and ate it all. We had burritos. Very good. Clean and friendly too.

Three of us had just traveled 13 hours in a car and wanted to find a restaurant near our motel. As we checked into our motel the clerk suggested the El Patron for dinner. By showing our motel room key we received a 10% discount on our food bill. As we studied the menu we were offered complimentary nacho chips... More

We weren't sure we were in the mood for Mexican and when we realized we were in a "moist" city, we decided a marguerita sounded good. We stayed for an authentic mexican fajita dinner and another marguerita. Service was great, restaurant clean and cozy. Definitely recommend.

Being tourists, we wanted something healthy and local. El Patron is conveniently located to the highway and hotels, so we tried it. Good Mexican food, delicious fresh guacamole, friendly owner and servers. The atmosphere was a little dull, since we sat on the non-smoking side, and all the action and the bar was on the smoking side. Still a good... More

Look - here's the deal. Obviously this place is for the karaoke, over 70 smoking cowboy crowd (which is fine) - otherwise, it sux. My BLT looked (and tasted) like my great- great grandmother made it without her glasses (raw bacon, 1/16" thick), cheeseburger was frozen patty - service was zzzzzzzzzzz, and trying to talk over karaoke and smoke was... Good Mexican food including top shelf Margaritas. It must be hard to run a Mexican Restaurant out there. The menu has many "American" entries with a few Mexican but what's there is good.

did not know what to expect but was pleasantly surprised. the strawberry margarita was ordered with sugar instead of salt and they complied to the "T'. was a bit surprised at the cheese sauce though. it was like broccoli-cheese soup without the broccoli. tasty but white and very thin. meal was great.
