Restaurant was very busy mostly due to Mammoth Cave National park down the road. We were seated with very little wait time. Host was not overly friendly perhaps due to 90 degree heat and humidity Chips and salsa was more like Marinara sauce than Salsa. Lunch for four consisted of Chimichanga Nachos Supreme and Enchilada all were average taste and... More

Stopped here as I was out exploring. The area seems limited for libations on a hot summer day. I'm glad I stopped on. Fast, friendly service, amazing salsa and chips and a huge icy mug of beer. Perfect! I'll be back for dinner!

The staff is nice and the menu is extensive. Good combo prices and overall pretty affordable. The food is average but in all fairness everything was served fresh and hot.

My husband and I ate dinner there one night while on a weekend getaway. The atmosphere was great, the staff was awesome, the food was excellent. I would say this was probably the best Mexican food I have had. I would certainly go there again and would recommend it to anyone.

I have a rule about Mexican food- when the restaurant workers speak Spanish, I'm in. The food was indeed good, but the service was slow. Interesting, since there were only a few people in the place. Yet, a worthwhile stop.

Went to this based on strong reviews form Trip Advisor. It has more than earned its current rating. The building is very nice inside, the service was prompt and effecient, and the menu was large with great variety. The 3 items we tried were all amazing. Some of the best Mexican food I have ever ate. I will make this... More

My family and I ate here last night and I was pleasantly surprised. Great atmosphere, friendly staff, and one of the best Mexican food I have had in a while. Large portion sizes with reasonable prices. My family of 5 ate with alcohol beverages for 74.00. Would definitely visit again if in the area.

We went with a largish group (11+ a baby) during an extended-family trip to Mammoth Cave. If I had to guess I'd say most of my family would have rated El Mazatlan a four, but I wasn't quite as satisfied with my meal. I ordered the El Amigo Special so that I could sample a few different items. The quesadilla... More
