This is a small hometown place to eat with mismatched tables and chairs. I had the barbecue sandwich and homemade chips and my husband had the catfish sandwich and homemade chips. Both sandwiches were fine but the chips were fabulous! They were crispy and chewy. I got the homemade strawberry ice cream on a cake cone. It was a single... More

The Fishin' Hole is like eating at gramma's house on Sunday and not having to clean up. - theory difference is that the food here is better than gramma's. The fried pies are amazing with a big scoop'o ice cream! My favorites: Philly cheese and chips ( I'm a native of PA - these are better than philly ) BLT... More

We were visiting friends at Lake Barkley and came here for dinner. Had the fish fry, delicious corn meal dusted fish! Hush puppies were crunchy on the outside and sweet and soft on the inside. The dish of white beans was unbelievably yummy! Next time I am going to order extra to take home! I was too full for dessert... More

If you want great tasting, inexpensive food and an extensive menu, then you MUST stop by The Fishin' Hole on Rt. 274 just west of Cadiz, KY. This is MUST eat when you're renting a home on Lake Barkley, and well worth the trip no matter how far you have to drive. We love the sandwiches with slaw, and of... More

On Friday the fish fry is a great meal. Lots of choice. Fish: Catfish really good, tilapia or cod. Cole slaw sweet or spicy, white beans, hushpuppies, fries or choice of sides. Yellow squash casserole was amazing. I will be back.

We weren't able to eat at the Fishin' Hole but we did get an ice cream cone. We opted for one scoop so we wouldn't ruin our dinner. WOW! They musts be using a steam shovel to scoop out the ice cream. We loved it but thank goodness we didn't get two scoops!

We visit the fishin hole several times per month. Great burgers, especially the fishin hole burger. Try their homemade chips with ranch dipping sauce. Their catfish is also good as is their fried okra and pickles.

Our family of 4 stopped here on our way home from KOA-Prizer Point for hand-dipped and soft serve ice-cream. Got only one scoop cones...absolutely GIGANTIC...more like a triple scoop which we all enjoyed to the fullest! To say the least, they are by far, sooo generous with their portions and inexpensive, too! Can't wait to return and have a real... More

We couldn't stop going back to The Fishin' Hole. For one thing it's the only restaurant in town! It's not fancy. This is not cuisine. This is basic food, capably made. What stands out is the staff: The waitresses are friendly and hilarious and make you feel really great to be there. The clientele is mostly local, and they are... More
