We love this beautiful historic restaurant! The food is amazing and the house is absolutely beautiful! Anytime we want to celebrate anything, this is where we like to visit! We've been local patrons for years. The menu is definitely higher priced, but the food is well worth it! Be prepared to make a reservation if you are trying to go... More

My husband and I have been here multiple times (usually for Sunday Brunch or lunch). Everything I have had here as been very good. If I am ever craving shrimp and grits, this place is my go-to. It has a quaint atmosphere in an old building in Burlington. When we have gone we have never had to wait. I recommend... More

We took friends to the Tousey House for dinner a few days ago and had a wonderful meal. The server was attentive, the food delicious, there were good wine and craft beer choices and the atmosphere relaxing and comfortable. We are always pleased when we go here. Guess that's why we keep coming back!

Living in the area now for 12 years, this was my first visit to the Tousey House. I had always heard it was overpriced, but recently heard rumblings that prices were lowered and are now more reasonable. Since my mom opted for the $6.95 bowl of potato soup and grilled cheese with bacon, I would have to agree that the... More

Step back in time for a true Kentucky experience. Tousey House is in a historic brick building in Burlington, Kentucky but the fresh, local cuisine is fresh and current. Eating in the bar and being served by the bartender, Greg, is a great personal touch. Known for their bourbon selection, they also have a good wine list and he is... More

This restored building is approaching 200 years in age. Since it was converted to a restaurant it has being serving fine dining for many years. We were there with a large group and it was a great atmosphere for the occasion. The service was good and the food was great. The table shared the friend green tomatoes and crab cake... More

Very nice atmosphere, casual in the bar or a little fancier in the dining room. We had been hiking all afternoon and although I had reservations about going into what looks like a fancy place from the outside, we all felt very comfortable sitting in the bar area. The menu offers items ranging from inexpensive to very expensive but I... More

We were looking for a restaurant where we could meet up with some friends we hadn't seen in years and wouldn't feel rushed. The Tousey House Tavern was the perfect choice. The couple who arrived first were welcomed into the bar and made comfortable to wait for the others. When everyone arrived, we were shown into the dining room. This... More

Had been to Tousey house during the winter early in the year (first visit). Thought the food was average but the setting was quaint and thought it would be a good place to bring family visiting from out of town. Indeed, took visiting family about a week ago on a Sunday. The experience was "sad". The food from the appetizers... More
