The service was great. Food was great. quick turn around. Fried ice cream was a treat to eat. Ask for more chocolate though.

Excellent Mexican food at reasonable prices. The staff is friendly. I always come here when I crave Mexican food. It is good for lunch or dinner and very fast. I never have to wait long. Berea has recently become moist, but I don't think they serve alcohol at present. I heard they were applying for a license though.

Yes, I admit it. As the title says, the queso, salsa, and chips keep me coming back. It's basic, but very satisfying. I have tried a few things from there like the nachos (not my favorite, but not bad), tacos (pretty standard - nowhere I've gone to in KY makes them like I'm used to, which is a fried tortilla... The food is very good and the portions are very adequate. Service is quick and friendly. The atmosphere is that of small and hometown - you'll generally see someone there you know if you're from Berea. It is a quick and enjoyable walk from the Berea College campus for lunch.

I've eaten at El Rio Grande a couple of times now, and I really like it. In fact, it's one of my favorites in Berea. The foods is delicious, no matter what you order. It will always be hot, fresh, and satisfying. The service is prompt, and the servers friendly. The entrees are enormous, and yet extremely affordable. It's a... More

I've eaten at the Rio Grande Mexican food joint several times. The food is pretty good; not the best Mexican, and by far not the worst in the area. Service is average to good when getting waited on at the table. The hostess is sometimes slow getting your check taken care of and will answer the phone and leave you... More

My family and I have eaten here many times through the years and I have to say that they have great food. The wait staff are friendly and service is fast. They have a small outdoor eating area in addition to their indoor tables. The Cheesesteak Burrito is very favorful, as are the Fajitas.

We've been to this restaurant a number of times through the years that our daughter has been a student at Berea College. The service is always quick, which is much appreciated, and the food is good. Prices are reasonable, and the atmosphere is festive. The only disadvantage is that we all smell like frying onions when we leave! Definitely a... More

We were there with a group of kids, and the staff were so great about serving them. The food was your basic, good Mexican food. Well done and complete with tortilla chips and salsa. Clean, festive, and friendly service.
