I had a very pleasant experience at this restaurant in the beautiful Historic Boone Tavern Hotel. I just ate breakfast there, but the service felt as if I was there for a really nice dinner. The waiters/waitresses are students at Berea College as the hotel/restaurant is actually on the campus. They hire and train them very well it seems. Fahim... More

Stopped in as a first time visitor after hearing so much about the great dining experiences of others. Beautiful dining room with linens and very attentive service. We were there for lunch and found a wide selection with moderate pricing. Spoon bread (they're known for this) is served hot at the table. I enjoyed 3 bbq pork sliders with a... More

We stopped for lunch, and just happened to go here. No reservations at all. Lovely place, very classy looking. My hubby had shrimp and grits, I had a sandwich and we split stuffed artichoke hearts for appetizer. Everything was great, but hubby said the shrimp was a bit tough. The service was wonderful. And everything was so tasty. Heartily recommend... More

We were staying at Boone Tavern for 4 nights so ate a couple of meals here during that time. The menu had a nice variety to choose from and the food was good. The only downside would be the pace of the service. Don't choose to go here if you are pressed for time. It seemed like the small things,... More

My friend and I enjoyed an evening of great food and wine in the restaurant. The food was incredible and the service was amazing! I felt pampered - the staff were all very professional and did everything they could to make sure our evening was enjoyable.

We had the opportunity to enjoy dinner at Boone Tavern a few weeks ago. Thoroughly enjoyed the meal. Sitting beside those big glass windows, looking out over Berea College was inspirational. Our waitress was phenomenal. Again, last week, I stopped by with friends from church for lunch. We had a private dining room and the food was fabulous. In both... More

We had dinner, lunch and the Sunday Brunch while guests at the hotel. I had the shaved lamb and my husband the pork chops tricky way plus shrimp and grits for lunch. All were excellent albeit top end of pricing at dinner. The Sunday Brunch has a modest cost with nice selections of breakfast and lunch options.

We stopped here for lunch. The food was absolutely delicious. The Kentucky Hot Brown was the best ever. Our waitress was delightful and on the way out we met Fred, who gave us a tour of the hotel. So glad we chose this place for lunch.

I had the Ribeye and it was the best I've had in years, my hubby had all appetizers, Basil tomato soup, Lobster Ravioli and Quail ... all we're fabulous BUT the service was painful to say the lest, soooo slow and so much waiting, our waiter didn't tell us about... Visited for lunch and not only is the building gorgeous but the food was delicious. I had a pimento cheese and grilled onion burger, my son had sun-dried tomato bagel with bacon and turkey, my husband had a smoked salmon wrap, my other son had a po-boy. All the food was great, the wait staff was friendly and if I'm... More
