We had dinner elsewhere then wanted to check out the oldest continuing tavern in the U.S. It opened in 1789. Oh the stories we would hear if the walls could talk. Service was friendly and quick. Stop by if you're in the neighbourhood!

Our senior adult group ate dinner at the Old Talbott Tavern. The food was very good and our server told us all about the history of the house while we waited on our food.

We wanted to sit on the balcony, which had no customers because it was hot. But they said that people that were staying there were the only people able to sit up there. No too big of a deal, but it was neat being in...More

We enjoy day trips in KY - so much to see and do; and while we travel, we try and eat at historic places with decent ratings. While we enjoyed lunch here last year, we weren't as pleased this trip. Service was OK. Love being...More

The food was less than average. It lacked flavor and quality. The food was way over priced for what it was.

While the building was interesting the food was average at best. Burgers were overcooked. Fries were cold - - - not lukewarm but cold. Server did his best to make up for it, but eating the fries after the burger is just not the same....More

What a cool little stop this was. The food won't blow you away, but it will be better than any fast food options you find, and the building itself is worth the the reasonably priced visit.

We just returned home from a great vacation in Bardstown. Our favorite dinning was the bourbon bar inside the Old Talbott Taveren. After dinner I had a Bloody Jessie James. It was outstanding. Can you tell me how you make this drink ?
