Nice old building and interesting rooms to explore. Food was good. The place is extremely old and I love old but this place needs a really good cleaning

We decided to eat at the Old Talbott Tavern in beautiful Bardstown, KY. Never have been, Always wanted to stop. We have heard good things about this place. The hostess said it would be 10-15 minutes wait to be seated. 49 minutes later we got...More

Old Talbott Tavern is an intriguing place. It really is old. A far cry from some of the “modern” chains with the cookie-cutter lay-outs. The service was excellent. The atmosphere was great, old, and dark with a handmade look to go with its age. The...More

Excellent food and service. I had shrimp and cheese grits and my husband had country fried steak. The prices were very reasonable.

Good bourbon selection, mixed drinks were small for what you paid for. Also had the same experience with the food. Portions were small for what we paid. We had the hot brown and it was in a saucer sized dish.Food quality was good though.
