Old Talbott Tavern was an unexpected stop while we were planning our next steps. The bar area is really cool and has a lot of character, in keeping with the age of the establishment. They have a really good bourbon list and offer a couple of different tasting fights - a good way to sample the trail's offerings. Service was... More

We have eaten here several times, most recently for Thanksgiving dinner. Best food ever - turkey moist and plentiful. The standard menu is outstanding, quite varied, and there is always plenty of food. The burgoo soup/stew is a KY original. Spicy and filling, a cup is the perfect starter or a bowl is a hearty lunch. These folks know their bourbon... and they've pretty much got everything from the surrounding area. If you're just in town and wondering which distilleries to hit, this is a great starting place. The Inn next store is also a great place to stay.

We stopped to have dinner because of the history and age. Wonderful to sit and eat in a place with so much history. Being able to see the old construction and imagine the people who have stayed there. Food was good.

After a tasting tour at Heaven Hill's Bourbon Heritage, Center my wife and enjoyed a quiet lunch in this historic tavern. I had the Hot Brown, which is Kentucky's signature dish, and she had an open faced roast beef. We shared an order of fried pickles as an appetizer. Afterward we purchased some bourbon balls and bourbon caramels for later.... More

was traveling through Bourbon country and stopped for the night. Very inexpensive rooms and very clean. Bonus was an awesome restaurant and bourbon bar right on site. With your stay breakfast was included which was very plentiful and delicious. Will be a definite stop any time traveling through Bardstown because of great service and food!

Went here for lunch and was told we would have to wait to be seated. Not crowded at all but it seemed like they were too busy to pay their customers much attention so finally we left after waiting so long.
