My wife and I stayed in the Lincoln Suite at the Talbott Tavern this past Friday evening. We decided that this would be the year that we hit the tourist sites in our home state of Ky. Check-in was easy. While the suite was spacious, it also seemed rundown. The tv listed lots of channels, but only had four or... More

We used Bardstown as a base during our New Years trip of the Bourbon Trail. Based on reviews and historic the significance of this property the Bourbon bar at the tavern was a big let down. No character, staff either were uneducated about their Bourbons or simply did not want to engage with clients. Two of us ordered wine, which... More

We enjoyed the food at this restaurant and the waitress was very knowledgeable about the amazing history of the tavern. After eating we were able to visit Jessie Jame's room etc. The total history of this place is phenomenal

Great historic building, nicely maintained and preserved. Live music in the tavern so we asked for a quiet spot in the dining room and we got it. I ordered the salmon special with wild ride and a squash/zucchini medley. My wife got the deep-fried catfish with slaw plus mashed potatoes and gravy. Food was average, at best. I had their... More

Some friends and us made a day trip to Bardstown mainly to see this historic tavern and eat there. Like the rest of the town, Talbott Tavern has some very interesting history. They have preserved much of the original building including some interior rooms. It is worth the time to take a look. The bourbon bar is very modern and... More

My mom and I loved this place. We had lunch here and stayed overnight here. It was so much fun as both of us enjoyed it. I hope my mom and I go back sometime soon enough.

We visited on a Monday night. There were about 20 folks in the place. Service was very good and the food was excellent. We had cheese fries, wedge salad and a Tavern burger. All three were very good, but the burger was WONDERFUL! I'll be back next time I'm here....good stuff!!

Went for dinner here last night, it was super convenient to our B&B (next door) and I had wanted to see the building for the history and reported ghosts. I didn't think the menu was all that extensive, but I am fairly picky. My boyfriend enjoyed his meal (the hot brown, I think) but my chicken was extremely salty, and... More

We had a very enjoyable evening that included a great meal and then exploring this 200 year old building. We saw the bedroom where Jesse James slept along with the 6 bullet holes that he put in the interior wall.
