Start with service, we had the best service from Chris D. He was amazing, it felt like we were at a friends house. We had the Kentucky hot brown, wedge salad, Streetcar Drink and bread pudding for dessert. The food was outstanding and reasonable priced. This is a beautiful historic building. We would definitely visit here again.

Talbott Tavern is a historic building that is alleged to be haunted. The menu has a full history of these hauntings and is very interesting reading. We specifically wanted a Kentucky hot brown so we ordered that and a burger and split them. Very tasty. Our server was efficient but very young and hadn't seen any ghosts. The bar on... More

We had dinner elsewhere then wanted to check out the oldest continuing tavern in the U.S. It opened in 1789. Oh the stories we would hear if the walls could talk. Service was friendly and quick. Stop by if you're in the neighbourhood!

Our senior adult group ate dinner at the Old Talbott Tavern. The food was very good and our server told us all about the history of the house while we waited on our food.

We wanted to sit on the balcony, which had no customers because it was hot. But they said that people that were staying there were the only people able to sit up there. No too big of a deal, but it was neat being in such an old building. Huge bourbon list. If you are looking for a place to... More

We enjoy day trips in KY - so much to see and do; and while we travel, we try and eat at historic places with decent ratings. While we enjoyed lunch here last year, we weren't as pleased this trip. Service was OK. Love being in the historic building...but won't be back because the food left a lot to be... More

Fell in love with this tavern the moment I stopped in. From its old time atmosphere, it's history and the staff! The bartenders were A-1 and I was not disappointed with my Old Fashioned! If you love haunted history, the James Gang and great food and adult beverages, check this place out. Had too much to drink? Book a room... More

The food was less than average. It lacked flavor and quality. The food was way over priced for what it was.
