Finding the place is a little hard, but so worth it. Not very well lit outside to see the sign going into the place. However, it's underneath Spalding Hall. We had a big group and I ordered the Blueberry Salmon. OH,MY.... Was I so glad I did.... it was wonderful!!! I'm always nervous when ordering salmon, but man this was... More

Echoing an earlier review, the Rickhouse isn't the easiest place to find, especially at night. However, the diligence was worth the effort. We got there a little late, without reservations, but the wait wasn't long. The food and service were excellent (most of us had steak, but one had the pork chop and it was well reviewed). I recommend the... More

Rustic, old and historic - it did not disappoint. We both chose steaks that were prepared perfectly. Different cuts and both tender and flavorful. Service was spot on. It was a very enjoyable night - great ambiance.

My husband and I enjoyed a delicious dinner at the Rickhouse while staying in Bardstown. Although a little tricky to find, I simply called the restaurant and asked for help with getting there. The woman who answered knew exactly where I was and how to guide us to where we needed to be! The food was amazing and we particularly... More

Very nice Restaurant with very large servings. I had the 20 ounce pork chop and I must say it was one of the best pork chops I have ever eaten. Too much for one person so make sure you share with someone.

We ate dinner on Thursday night, we did need reservations so make them on the website. I had the crab cakes and the rest of my party had steak. I wouldn't recommend the crab cakes too much filler and not enough crab. The steaks were great. One side was enough for two people, so plan accordingly. Service was knowledgeable and... More

We went to The Rickhouse on a Saturday evening. It is located in the basement of the Oscar Getz Museum of Whiskey History. Our meals were both delicious. I had the filet, which was cooked perfectly. My husband ordered salmon, which was also very good. The service was excellent, and our server was attentive. Our only issue was that the... More

Amazing bang for your buck here. Amazing quality and selection of food. Mac and cheese is a must for a side. Loved my bourbon glazed chicken. Our Kentucky mules were fantastic. Service could not have been better. Loved the ambience. Wish I lived closer!

Walked to Rickhouse, it was an interesting restaurant. Sort of underground, decorated with Bourbon barrel staves on the booths. Ordered the roasted Cesar salad, it was good, large portion. Rolls swimming in butter--yum. For the main course had the King Crab Cakes and scallop potatoes. The first batch was cold but they soon took care of it and brought a... More
