Stopped in for lunch between distillery visits. Husband had brisket dinner - brisket and 2 sides; fried potatoes and mac & cheese. I had brisket sandwich and FF. Also had cornbread and bought a piece of chocolate cake to take home. All the food was...great. Prices very reasonable. Wished we had time to go again.More

The food was excellent! My husband ordered the ribs and I ordered brisket. The brisket comes as a sandwich but I tossed the bun and had plenty to eat. The beans were great too. Corn bread is sweet, so it depends on what you like....The building was probably an old country store, not an outer appearance that will draw you in. But all barbecue fans know not to pay too much attention to the building. Service wasn’t speedy, but it wasn’t terrible either. All in all, it’s great food and that is what counts. I highly recommend!More

We went off the beaten path and almost missed this little place. Doesn't look like much but the ribs were fall off the bone and the corn cakes had great flavor..no ambiance but good food!

I have high hopes for this place... My pulled pork was like something out of a Lloyd’s container and my wife’s brisket never saw the inside of a smoker...

Found this place while touring Bourbon Distillery’s near Bardstown. This place knocked it outta the park. It looked like a ZZ Top reunion when we walked in and only got better. Had the full slab of ribs with macaroni and cheese, homemade potatoes. Everything is...from scratch and the ribs are slow cooked starting at 2:30 am each day. Had some peach cobbler for desert and loved it. Nobody at the table had a complaint and the cornbread was made like a pancake and awesome. Icing on the cake was when the owner who appeared to be in his late 80’s sat down with us. Can’t discuss the conversation it might offend you but a definite must if your on the bourbon trail.More

Outside of Bardstown, Ky 999 Bloomfield is the best BBQ you can have. Our waitress talked about her grandfather smoking the meats. Tender fall off the bone ribs, grandma's mac and cheese and great baked beans. As we were finishing up with some awesome carrot...cake, Grandpa walked in from the smoker and talked with us for about 15 minutes. Well worth the trip for the food and even more if you get to meet grandpa, Best BBQ I have found, can't wait to head back. You also have to try to cornbread, its a pancake and is moist and great with the cinnamon butterMore

If you see an old guy sitting out side by a smoker you need to stop. Don't judge a restaurant by how the place looks from the outside. This is some great food. really enjoyed our lunch

The pork chop breakfast sandwich is phenomenal. Service was great as well. Only bad thing was the taste of my ice water.

I got the pork chop dinner! That pork chop was huge and delicious! Super tender! The Mac n cheese was very good and so were the fried potatoes. Fast friendly service!
