About

At Meddys - a sort of nickname for the Mediterranean - the menu may be simple, but it's simply delicious, healthy food, prepared fresh daily and offered to customers at reasonable prices. We don't even have a microwave on our premises. "I didn't invent the wheel," says Alex. "I went with original recipes for food items I grew up eating." we have added even more home-style Mediterranean dishes. Meddys completed construction on its second location in 2016.

Mediterranean style food in Wichita, Kansas

The strip mall has free parking. The restaurant serves Mediterranean style food in a family style environment. You order and pay at the counter, they give you a number to place on your table, and they deliver your food when it is ready. There is full bar service and I saw 2 televisions. My salmon salad was quite tasty. COVID-19: The employees were masked but there did not appear to be any concern with customers being masked or social distancing.

This restaurant was recommended by the manager of Springhill Suites Wichita Airport where we stayed. The food was excellent, good valued. The Schwarmas and hummus were so good, we ordered twice! If you like Mediterranean cuisine, Meddy's is a must try eatery.

Excellent food! My husband had the chicken wrap with garlic potatoes I had the tabouli salad with their chicken. Then they brought a complimentary pita bread ! Everything was so delicious and our server was outstanding. We love the Meddy’s in New Market Square , the one on Ridge has good food but hardly did we ever have anyone come by to ck on the meal. People at New Market act like they really want you to eat there! Thanks!

This Meddys location used to be one of my favorite places to eat. Not any more! They don't serve grape leaves, the chips were so hard I couldn't eat them and the food was tasteless. I won't be back. The Meddys downtown is AWESOME! The customer service was fine.

This was a pickup order and my husband was right there to pick it up as it was done.

Two weeks ago the food was great. Last night it was like they’d forgotten how to cook it. The Humus was bland and blah. The pita wasn’t puffy and warm and the chicken and veggies was like they’d forgotten the spices.

Good and Bad

First time visit to this place. The lentil soup was good but was disappointed in the salad. I don't think the salad was made fresh. It looked like it had been sitting for some time.

The food here is good but not great. If I was reviewing based on food alone I would rate this place much better. Here is the problem. They don't follow their posted pricing. I order meat pies and a side and I paid full price for the side, despite the menu stating discounted pricing when ordered with meal. Second, when asked about the price difference, the staff was more concerned about arguing their price right than making it right. I was going to let this go as a one time situation and after our meal, my wife wanted a Baklava. The price on their menu was 2.99 but we were charged 3.49 plus tax. This was a different staff member at the register and the manager was there too. Again, they wanted to argue that their pricing had increased recently but they hadn't had time to update their menu boards. Any restaurant that will argue with their customer and deflect blame onto the customer, does not deserve my business and I will not return. What is disappointing is that this was an opportunity to scout out potential businesses to take visitors from our company headquarters and I will not recommend this business to our company.

Good neighborhood location for soup when in the mood

This store always has good lentil soup and some tasty deserts my wife likes so we go there for lunch or dinner 2 to 3 times a month, usually carry out. The chicken swarma is large enough for wife and I to share or two meals for me. Check your order for correctness before leaving the store. The location is a bit tricky to leave the parking going east on E Harry so I usually drive all the way in the lot past Papa John's Pizza and exit on the side street before turning east. Caution is still needed.
