We have come here twice now and had two totally different experiences. The first time the experience was good and the food was great, barring the crab cheese appetizer which literally had no crab to mention in it and at a hefty $12. The second...time the experience was not that good. The server acted like she was on something she was so spastic and incoherent. I actually informed the manager that he should look into it because she was definitely wired. My son even asked what was wrong with her. The food the second time was not as great either. We ordered the loaded tots appetizer which were less than fair and we all ordered burgers. The best thing I can say is that my burger and my son's sliders, were good the second time they brought them (the first time both the burger and the sliders were wrong). By then, my husband had finished his meal. Was it a server issue? A kitchen issue? Who knows. But a good server checks what they are picking up from the kitchen before they serve it to their customers. At any rate, the manager did comp us our two meals, which was appropriate. It should not have had to happen. The burgers here are amazing. They cook them the way you want and they are full of flavor. The appetizers are not worth the price and worth passing on. If it was not for the service being spotty, I think we would come back. For now it's a pass for us for a while.....More

Passing through on a weekend vacation. Found The Hill on this site and decided to try it. Not super busy for lunch time on a Saturday, waitstaff and manager helpful and responsive. Morgan our waitress was quick and personable. She appeared to have several tables...and was working the bar at times, lots of hustle. The burger was great, black angus beef. But if you are skittish of juice or any sign of pink in your burger, they cook burgers to medium (noted on the menu) so if you want a more thorough cooking, ask for it. The only downside was the salad was quite tough and had a lot of stems from the greens. My gf ended up eating my fries. Could have been a fluke salad.More

Poor, extremely slow service in an uncrowded room. Wings tasted strongly of fish. They must be frying wings and fish in the same vat. Apps were not prepared well. Burger was over cooked. The house salad was good, that's about it for good. I have...had decent meals in the past at this restaurant. Hope they strive to do better in the future.More

We live out of town and went here on a whim after hearing positive things from local friends. Great beer selection, food, customer service, and atmosphere. Plan to return in the future.

We visited The Hill for a late lunch with our family of 7. We ordered a range off the menu. We ordered two appetizers chips with cheese dip and guacamole, my husband's favorite. Also fried pickles not too bad. Monday's are $5 burgers which is...day we went. I ordered the hill and was very good. Also others ordered the club both liked it. The only order that we don't recommend is the spaghetti and meatballs.More

This is my favorite place to eat on our weekly Saturday date nights dining out. The service is fantastic; the food is excellent; the high-backed, rustic booths make for great sound barriers; and they have over a dozen large-screen, HD televisions to view your favorite...sporting event. Sitting at one of the four corners of Oliver and Douglas, The Hill will not scream for your attention as its signage is overshadowed by the T-Mobile business that shares the building. I have come to love The Hill for its quiet atmosphere and cozy setting. Though I'd hate for the atmosphere to ever change, I also want The Hill to reach the success it very much deserves, so I will give them their due by giving my highest possible recommendation.More

The have great burgers, fresh and tasty. Chips and salsa to start, add the beer cheese to make it even better. If you love mac n cheese, then this place has the best. Smoked gouda mac n cheese, and you can add all sorts of...items to it, I highly recommend it. Plenty of beer to choose from.More

Choices are more gourmet than your usual bar food, but it is still burgers, sandwiches, wings, etc. With the gourmet selection comes a higher price. Good food, but $80 for a dinner out with a couple of beers seems excessive. Try it, but it may...not be your favorite hangout unless you have a bottomless bank account.More

My wife and I stopped in here for dinner and a few drinks before a concert. I had wings and they were great. My wife had shrimp tacos and they looked amazing! Had a bite of the filet and was cooked perfectly and had a...great flavor! Would definitely get back!More

I came across this gem while looking for houses in the College Hill area of Wichita. From one direction, you can't even tell there is a restaurant in the building, so it almost didn't catch my eye. Once I saw it, I felt a good...vibe and decided I would come back for a late lunch and check it out. Boy, am I glad I did. The hostess was not overly welcoming, but she may have been new or shy. I ate at a booth in the bar area and was served by the bartender who was fantastic with both her menu recommendations and providing just the right amount of attention for me, not too much and not too little. I tried the pretzel bits for an appetizer, a burger for the main course, and the brownie sundae and all were absolutely fantastic. The dessert and the fries that came with the burger were each enough to feed a table of 3 or 4, so perhaps consider that when you order sides and dessert. I'm looking forward to returning in two weeks when my wife and daughter come in for the house hunting!More
