Great prices~Great Food

This is the best restaurant we have had Japanese sushi for years. The restaurant is open even though they are listed as closed. They also do in restaurant dining.

We wanted to get hibachi steak on a Saturday night with no reservation. Although this place does not cook at the table, they offered the same food. We were able to get right in & were surprised how incredible it was. Very clean and beautifully furnished, we were seated promptly. Our service was fast and friendly. All of the meals were so good. Tender steak grilled perfectly to order, cold drinks and fresh sushi. The kids meal boxes were over the top! If your kids like Japanese, and have an appetite, this is a great deal. I wish I lived local, because I would hang out at the sushi bar.

We celebrated our grandsons birthday. The various sushi dinners were wonderful. There are also sushi appetizers which were good. Service good but some of waitstaff do not speak English so hard to communicate needs or ask questions. This is not a grill that cooks on front of you. Some got hibachi dinners which were ok but not as good as one of the typical grills. Fried rice not fresh...could tell that it had been made earlier and scooped out of pot. Flavor ok but love the garlic and sesame you typically get with Japanese grill. Restaurant clean and accommodating.

The Best

If you haven't had a chance to eat here, what are you doing with your life? We have been searching for good sushi and we found it. Beautifully prepared and delicious! Easy to tell they use fresh ingredients. We also had Hibachi chicken. The chicken was tender, perfectly marinated and the vegetables were so good your children will thank you for making them eat! Bonus:The friendly staff isn't too intrusive. They checked on us one time, refilled our drinks and let us enjoy!!

Spoiled meat

I tried this restaurant for the first time by Grubhub. Delivery was on time but the steak, chicken, and shrimp hibachi was terrible.. the steak had a spoiled taste and smell, the chicken was very tough and smelled odd. I ate a bite of each meat and called and asked to exchange it or if they could pick it up and get my money back and the restaurant said no. I’m going to notify the health dept and the BBB.

This is a great place to have lunch or dinner if you are a sushi fan. The food is always excellent. The habachi filet is the best I have ever ate. The bento box comes with miso soup. The habachi lunch comes with clear soup and salad and vegetables. IMO you cannot go wrong with anything you order here. The owner Sam is a great guy. The staff is always very friendly and eager to please. Give this sushi place a go.

This was one of the best Japanese cuisine meals I have had recently. Their sushi was expertly prepared and beautifully presented. The restaurant is very clean (I saw a server cleaning the floor very well after a child had left a mess). My husband, who does not like sushi, found the hibachi stead and shrimp to be one of the best he has had! I love the variety available on the Bento box. The food can be a little exotic for Wichita, KS , but what a delicious adventure.

I was driving on West St. letting my eyes and stomach pick my lunch spot. Rumbles and growls and twitches as I scanned the fast food chains and locally owned spots. I saw sushi and lunch special on the Tokyo sign, my stomach took over my brain...zoom, here I am!! Formerly a catfish resto, the current setup is cute and clean. They have daily specials noted on a whiteboard by the sushi bar which has about 12 seats, 7 in the performance area of the sushi chef. I noted a nice selection of beers, sake and drinks but alas, this was lunch only! Miso soup and a small salad with handmade dressing was good and fresh. I picked 3 rolls, eel with cucumber, spicy salmon, spicy tuna. The salmon and tuna were finely chopped and mixed with mayo I think, not bad but a little too much and not my fave. The eel was a slice of cooked eel inside with finely sliced cucumber and topped with a nice sauce, not to sweet. pretty good! Overall a nice lunch, the rolls were on the smallish side but next time here I would choose something else just to try out all the options. I also ordered the Tsubugai, Japanese Conch, as I had a little room left before I exploded which was a special noted on the board for today. It was clean, crisp, slightly briny... very interesting and tasty!

This is a fairly new, small sushi place, but they make some very good food. You really have to look for this place, though. It is kind of out of place in the neighborhood. Very friendly staff, but do not go here if you are in a hurry.
