This place is soo cute and fun. There are not many places like this anymore... Its a true diner style restaurant. Only 7 stools inside... I loved it.

An icon that serves small slider hamburgers with lots of onions. People will know you have been there because of the smell. Small eating area inside, so tables outside or take your bag to go. People often stop on their way through Kansas. Not fancy or expensive but fun.

Let me start with, I'm 64 years old (next month) and this is where we went to for lunch when I was in Junior High School. Then, you could get the burgers for a 12 cents apiece and the proper order was a "six-pack". At sometime in the 80's (?) in a effort to update the place the Owner's took... More

I stop in The Cozy Inn nearly every time I travel through Salina. They have great burgers you can have a few for a snack or split a bag with someone else. A must stop place for sure.

We were on a day trip seeing some Kansas byways. Had read about this place. On way to our hotel we picked up a bag at the take out window. The girl taking the orders was very funny with customers. I started a conversation with a couple of woman eating outside on tables. They said they were delicious but would... More

We stopped in on a cross country drive (thank you TA) and were amazed at the experience. Steve (the owner) was behind the tiny counter and was super friendly. We ate at the tiny bar inside and they just kept the sliders coming. We got to chat with the locals, learn about the history (apparently White Castle opened the same... More

Do not go inside to eat. Go in for a quick look at the ambience. Then place your order at the outside window. Failure to follow the preceding instructions means your will not let you back inside until you've changed your clothes Order at least three for everyone and probably six for the guys. They are all the same. A... More

After reading the reviews, we thought it would be fun to stop and try the little onion burgers after out visit to the Eisenhower Library. We sat on the stools, ordered a half dozen to split and enjoyed every morsel. And, we had that greasy kitchen smell in our car for the next two days - yes, we changed our... More

Cozy is always a great place to stop for 6 or 12 burgers. I think they have changed. The amount of beef seems to have increased. At first I thought I had taken a bite of a double. Great improvement!

The history of The Cozy Inn Hamburgers started in 1922 with a man named Bob Kinkel in a six stool diner selling “sliders” for only five cents. In the 1930’s when the depression hit Kansas The Cozy Inn remained open do to the low over head. It was not until the Smoky Hills Air Force Base was open in the... More
