Russell's is a traditional stop on the road to and from Dallas ...usually we have excellent experiences...but on this Sunday evening we were seated in one of the back rooms...our server was no where to be found after she brought the food...we wanted to order desert...but didn't have a chance...no ketchup offered for the hash browns and no refills on... Certainly not a place to get a healthy breakfast. In fact I think of you tried to order low fat yogurt and granola you might be taken out the back and shot !!. What they do serve they do very well. The omelet and hash browns I had was delicious and enough to feed a family of 4. Coffee was... More

If you like a big breakfast with a lot of old fashioned local flavor this is the spot for you . I went with a friend who has been going to Russell ' s since she was a kid. They have hefty portions of good old favorites . Our party had a Mexican omelet , biscuits and gravy, and eggs... More

The food was old fashioned, homemade tasty meals and pies. They were served hot and fast by very friendly staff. Great stuff, don't miss it!

We have been stopping at Russell's for many years and always enjoy the food and relaxing atmosphere. The food is homemade and the menu has lots of choices. Most of the time we get the fried chicken and chicken fried steak with the salad bar. The server was attentive and friendly. The atmosphere is relaxing and clean. We plan our... More

We were seated by a not so friendly guy. Waitress took our drink order...I did not like the tea but that's probably just me. Switched to Diet Pepsi...excellent. Took forever for our waitress to take our order, she was busy cashing people out, did apologize for the wait. The prices are a little higher than I would have expected. The... More

We hadn't been here in years but thought we should give it a try for old times sake. The menu still had a great number of choices and the food we received tasted great and the serving sizes were very good. For a place that's been around for the better part of 40 years they are still serving up great... More

Good hot food, American truck stop food. Roast beef is excellent. Usual fare for a truck stop, but cleaner than a lot of the chain restaurants

Used to be a pretty busy place but things have slowed down over the last 20 years for some reason but the food has always been great. One of the best chicken fried steaks in the area. Old fashioned salad bar where you can still get what you want.
