Delicious hand rolled sushi and Japanese tempura. My favorite thing is to belly up to the bar and watch the chefs prepare my order. Unpretentious and so good!

Looking for good quality, consistently executed Sushi in Kansas City? Jun's is the place! We've been going there for years and are always happy when we leave. My husband loves the Mackerel nigiri.

The sushi is the main attraction but the traditional Japanese meals are excellent. The tempura batter was very light and the noodles done perfectly. The waitress got our order wrong (yakiudon instead of nebiyakiudon), so be sure you are understood clearly. I had never had yakiudon before, and they were fine.

Came with a group of friends and sit at the sushi bar. What a great experience. Very attentive. Great staff. Best sushi experience I've had. Happy hour is great for reasonable priced rolls. The Rock 'n Roll was awesome!

We enjoyed a family dinner seated at a traditional Japanese table. Regular seating is available too, all in a nice atmosphere. Many varieties of sushi and sashimi are available, all very good. We also loved the very light tempura battered vegetables and shrimp. Service is prompt, but not particularly friendly. Arrive early if possible as the restaurant fills up quickly... More

Juns is great for sushi. Very traditional setting that makes you feel like "you are not in Kansas anymore. Food is already great and fresh and the people are very friendly.

I challenge any one in KC to find a better sushi joint. Yes, it's not as flashy as the Plaza or Town Center, but from a food standpoint, it can hold its own.

I eat here when I eat Sushi the have fresh sushi grade fish flown in twice a week. Try the Hamachi kama for a cooked piece a fish you will never forget. They have Uni, Toro, and all the sashimi. Enjoy the squid salad or any of their special rolls on the board.

Sushi is one of those parts of the food universe where there seem to be 3 planets of quality--a small one of really bad food, a very large one of pretty good food, and a small one of superior food. Exceptional sushi is hard to come by, in my experience--the best I've encountered has been in California, with the restaurant... More
