Very fun place. The fried chicken is every bit as good as my mom made when I was a kid. And the price was very good. I have paid more for far worse. The hostess was engaging. The atmosphere was comfortable: this is not "fine dining $", just good food at a good price.

On our way home from Branson we stopped at Annie's Original for Sunday lunch. It's off the beaten path - even for those in Ft. Scott or Pittsburg - but if you are in the area I highly recommend them. Their portions are large, their chicken moist and delicious, the sides unique and tasty (I highly suggest the German slaw... More

It actually was a trip down a three and half mile lane from the highway to the Original Chicken Annie's. I ate chicken at this restaurant as a boy back in the 50's through the 70's with my grandparents. When we first started going, they served the chicken out of a house and you waited to be called in your... More

Chicken Annie's came highly recommended from a friend. It did not disappoint! really good friend chicken. The German coleslaw was outstanding. I could have made myself sick on the stuff. Service was top notch. The prices were very reasonable.

I understand the hype of these fried chicken houses in this area, but for people that were not born and raised on this grease chicken, do not like these old 70s, cafeteria style eating. I know they do a great business and who am I to give it a bad review? I am someone with a better palate in taste... More

Great place to get a Delicious Chicken Dinner. Large place with very friendly staff to greet you. Quick service and a wonderful meal. Side dishes are both German and American. Both are good. The German is heavy on vinegar base it is good just know what to expect. Hot fresh chicken dinner. Served with a wonderful bread. Very reasonable price... More

I had to go to Chicken Annie's for my Grandfathers Birthday, They had never really been to Chicken Mary's, I was shocked. They had no food that I could even stand. The spaghetti was sweet, SWEET, who eat's sweet spaghetti. I can't even express how much I dislike this restaurant.

I'm not a huge chicken fan, but they had some of the best chicken I've ever eaten. The staff was great there also. Price wasn't bad.

Chicken Annie's is next door to its family member, Chicken Mary's. It is a great atmosphere to enjoy a great meal with family and friends. It is north of Pittsburg, KS in the wooded area of the old strip mines from the past of the areas history.

A few miles off the beaten path of 69 highway, in the middle of Nowhere proper, you'll find the fried chicken vortex of Crawford County. Under nostalgic signs and providing big portions and bigger parking lots, there are two very different restaurants that are exactly the same. You have to embrace the concept of classic fried chicken to truly appreciate... More
