I intend not to offend any one but compelled to write this review as it ruined our fun trip to Kansas city down on September 6th . we group of 7 friends decided to eat early dinner at Spice N rice and ordered regular Indian...food . the food was half cooked and same spices were used pretty much in all dishes . over price food . after 2 hours we all had same symptoms of bloating , nausea and diarrhea . we had to shorten our trip and returned back to home . make sure you inquire about the freshness of food before you decide to order .More

Worst staff and worst taste food. I was searched online options around for placing food order, when i almost tying to place order online on this restaurant, realized no where i can mention about spice levels, so called for details then turned out to be...placing an order, at ending of call he told me about 28$, then i realized online is 26$. so i called again to cancel phone order which is slightly expensive. My call was still connected and listening... but person is laughing with other staff that about for $1 order got changed... etc... that upsets me.. because i care about every penny... might be this restaurant staff are rich...i hate this place.. Finally tasted the food. its worst food i ever tasted. for this taste levels why so much rude behavior of staff that i don't understandMore

This was hands down the best indian buffet I have ever had. So much selection plus the food was excellent in quality. The goat curry was so yummy! If I lived here i would definitely be back!

I love Indian food—there is always so many complex flavors, interesting ingredients, and potential for unique dishes. Spice n Rice delivers on this with a great selection of menu items and a lunch buffet—good for meat-eaters and vegetarians. I first learned of them through Door...Dash and then came for their lunch buffet. I would highly recommend Spice n Rice through a delivery service. The portions delivered were very hearty, traveled well, and arrive hot (granted, my work is about a 10-minute drive from the restaurant). Taking the delivery and lunch buffet together, everything I ate was delicious. My one of my two favorite dishes are the Vegetable Korma, a medley of fresh vegetables cooked in cream, onions, tomatoes, cashews, and almonds. I loved it so much, I skip on the rice so I can eat more of it and use the naan to sop up all the delicious sauce. The other dish I love is the Butter Chicken, a Tandoori boneless chicken served in a traditional tomato and onion sauce. The chicken pieces were tender and marinated well in the sauce; again, no rice, but use the naan to scoop up all that awesome sauce too. Their Vegetable Pakora, fried battered vegetables, tamarind, and mint chutney is also flavorful—well-cooked so it isn’t heavy on the fry. I like using it to scoop up the sauces too. And I love that places like this serve a Mango Lassi—the perfect digestif after what almost-always-is for me, a big lunch (it helps avoid a food coma at work). I believe Indian food is one of those cuisines best served in a buffet because with so many novel and unique dishes, it makes it easy to try small samples of a lot of interesting choices and then figure out what you like and would pass on next time. So when you come to Spice n Rice, you won’t be disappointed ordering something off their menu, but I recommend coming to their buffet first, to try almost-all of what they have to offer. I want to rate them at a 3.5, but will round up on this one.More

Not a bad little place for a quick bite, found in a strip mall near a Whole Foods and the Sprint campus. Had the goat Curry, which has a lot of bones. Might recommend the lamb instead ( had this on a previous visit). "Medium"...spicy had my nose running. Good value.More

My friends and I went here because it was recommended as amazing food. I was a little concerned when I first arrived and there was no one else in the restaurant at dinner time around 7 PM which is typically The busiest time in Kansas...City. There’s a little odd because there is a portion of the restaurant where you tap on the screen to order takeout right next-door to the restaurant. However I was quickly told that the restaurant was right next-door. I was given water and a drink in a friendly smile upon my arrival. And ordering was easyAnd efficient. The food was delicious and brought to us on lovely trays that separated all the food. The odd part came with the waitress who was waiting on us. She kept saying how our food looked so good and how hungry she was. One little comment wouldn’t had of been A big deal, but she said it two or three times. I friend even told her maybe she should go get something to eat. Came time to pay my friend took extra care to tell her that was to be split three ways but that she would take the appetizer. However when she passed out the checks she received my bill and I received her’s. Unfortunately, I had already been rung up. Instead of avoiding everything we just decided to pay what we had. I think with a little bit more training this waitress could be good because she is very friendly.More

We were very pleasantly surprised by the lunch buffet. I am a veggie girl, and they had the buffet split one side meat dishes the other side veggie dishes, which made it really easy. Everything we had was very good. This place is definitely going...on our Friday lunch rotation.More
