Tortilla Ranch is in walking distance from my computer repair shop. My complaint is over the food because it is good, not WOW, just good. My main complaint is this: They don't understand the purpose for online ordering. 90% of the time I have ordered...online or by phone, after waiting the 30 minutes and I go pick it up....THEY HAVEN'T EVEN STARTED MAKING IT. The whole purpose of ordering and paying ahead is to NOT HAVE TO WAIT, that's it in a nutshell. If I wanted to wait for the food I would have gone and stood in line and paid at the register. It's really simple logic that people that order online do not want to wait for their food. I have spoken to the manager/owner a few times about the online orders not being ready and he asked me to tell him about issues like that, so they got better and I changed my review but the last 3 times I ordered online I would go there and the food wasn't even made and I let it slide but today I ordered/paid online again....waited 30 minutes.....I go in there....the food is not even made, again. The owner was there so I go to tell him and he said I was rude. Rude for wanting the food I ordered and paid for online to be ready when I get there? He said me telling him about having the food ready to be picked up when I get there was like him telling me what clothes to where to work....that is how he rationalizes NOT having online orders ready to be picked up. The owner refuses to change, I am not the only one that has complained about the food not being ready at the time of pickup. They don't get it, Chipolte gets it. Chipotle has online ordering on lock. You order online with Chipotle and wait the appropriate time then go pick it up...you go to a rack and get your order and leave, its that easy. But Tortilla Ranch doesn't comprehend that concept. People that order online want their food ready when they go pick it up, that is literally the whole purpose of ordering online. Also 90% of the time when you order online they will mess up the order. Whoever makes the online orders wants to throw jicama on everything even when you put in the special requests NO JICAMA. Bottom line, don't order online or by phone because if the owner refuses to grasp the logic behind online ordering it will never change and you'll be waiting just as long for the food that you ordered and paid for online as you would if you just went in there and ordered it. No one orders and pays for food online, waits the 30 minutes they tell you to wait before picking it up, just to go wait even longer for the food to be made when they pick it up...That is ridiculous. The owner is clearly delusional, after speaking to him at length about online ordering he disagrees me about having food ready to be picked up even after I pointed out his flawed logic of people ordering online having to wait 30 minutes before picking it up, I told him that 30 minutes is for the TO MAKE THE ORDER...he disagrees. So he won't change, your food will never be ready when you get there if you order online. So if you like Tortilla Ranch and want to get it to go you are better off going inside and paying for it at the counter because you'll have to wait either way.More

I've been going here for about 5 years or so for lunch. The food is great. I usually make it easy and just order the lunch special, and it's always good. I've tried other things on the menu and it is always good. Fast and...friendly service, even when the line it out the door.More

Being our first time I didn't feel the staff was helpful with choices but the food was great! I think they stay pretty busy so they don't interact much with the patrons. It was a great meal for the price and very fast as they...make it as you tell them what you want on it. I got the layered nachos and my wife got the burrito enchilada style. We were both impressed with our selections and the medium salsa was plenty hot for me. My wife got the mild and liked it as well.More

Friday night is a great time to try Tortilla Ranch. It is just busy enough with some couples, and some families to create a very pleasant atmosphere. The best part is that it's not noisy, so you can have a conversation. We've had the tacos,...quesadillas and various salads. They are all made-to-order with fresh toppings. Great value (under $9) and nice selection of proteins - 2 chicken choices, 3 beef, 1 pork, and even shrimp.More

I was in a hurry this morning and hungry so I grabbed a chorizo breakfast burrito here. It was pretty good and the service was quick and friendly.

I work real close to Tortilla Ranch, like walking distance. I love mexican food. First let's say they good things about this place: It is very clean, I love how no matter what time of day it is its always clean. I like how they...have specials, very few places have those and monday nights they have the 2 for 1 Burrito Special which is awesome. Now the bad parts: They have it set up like Chipotle but the reason Chipotle works so great is a simple menu that allows for the herding of the line to move fast, Tortilla Ranch has a complicated menu so when "Mary can't make her mind" is at the front of the line, the rest of the huge line after her has to wait and wait and wait. Which really sucks at lunch time which is when they make most of their money. I can walk over there during lunch so I feel extremely bad for those that have limited time to eat after someone has held up the line because they couldn't decide if they wanted fish or meat on their tacos. So Tortilla Ranch really needs to simplify the menu if they are using the herding method to get people in and out. The flavor is ok but there is something missing, my friend says its cilantro but I think its more than cilantro. I am used to more flavor in mexican food, that's just me but it just doesn't WoW me. And if you get a burrito, the flour tortillas are not as strong as Chipotle, Tortilla Ranch tortillas tear open too easy and get soggy which is weird in itself, I hate soggy. Also, the staff are not that friendly and don't answer your questions very well. There is a girl that works there that I always say when ordering "A shredded beef burrito, no rice, no beans." And she always dumps or tries to dump a spoonful of rice on the tortilla straight out of the warmer and I know she hears my order because she gets the shredded beef part right. Tortilla Ranch is another one of those places I was excited when it was being built but disappointed when I finally got to get food from there and I can walk to it. Me and my friends we have this list of restaurants we "wanted to like" and Tortilla Ranch is one of them. Just something about it is missing in every aspect. Flavor wise I we still haven't nailed down what's missing some say cilantro, some say lime, some say salt, maybe its a combo of all of them. They have outdoors seating just like Chipotle but they don't have enough outdoors seating especially at lunchtime and its always funny when the Lamar's donuts people come out and warn the Tortilla Ranch people from sitting at their outdoor tables. So there is always something missing. What would be nice is a greeter or a more vocal service staff that can answer questions or help because "Mary can't make up her mind" takes so long because the staff person isn't talking, You ask the staff person behind the glass a question and they just point or the woman goes and gets the guy who is equally quiet. So frustrating, just speak! Don't point, speak answer questions move the line along. But it is always clean, a clean place to eat.More

Went on Saturday because margaritas are $2.50 and kids eat for free. Everything was fresh and delicious. Family of four ate a delicious meal, including margaritas and a dessert for under $30. Can't wait to go back! Picky 8 year old even enjoyed his taco.

Tortilla Ranch has become my very favorite place to eat. The food is amazing and the staff is extremely friendly and quick. I dine in regularly for lunch, and also recently ordered a catered lunch and my entire office was so pleased with the meal!...I can't say enough wonderful things about this place. Alfredo helped with my catering order and he was wonderful to work with. I recommend Tortilla Ranch to people all the time and promise them it will change their lives! Seems a bit extreme but it is true - everyone I have ever introduced to TR has LOVED IT! Keep up the great work!More

They do offer corn tortillas for some items (i.e. taco's), but they primarily use flour tortillas for burritos, enchiladas, quesadillas, etc. I would mention the allergy, and I'm sure they will do what they can to avoid... More
