It has been a while since we ate here. We have been ordering takeout from local restaurants about once a week or more, to support our local restaurants during this COVID-19 situation. We ordered pad thai with chicken & pad see eaw with pork. Both were good. They had a good amount of proteins. When I placed the order by phone they told me when it would be ready. I arrived a few minutes early & it was ready. Prices are good.

Best Red Curry in town!! Love there spring rolls. Really everything is good. The buffet is back on weekends and lunch. Very reasonably priced. Staff is super friendly.

We visited this restaurant on a weekend trip to KC from central Ks. The sarvice was good, they were friendly and helpful. We had a chicken dish and a rib dish. We were very impressed with both. We will definitely eat here the next time we are in KC.

Bangkok Pavilion is off-the-beaten path and hidden behind a bank and nestled next to a Home Depot, on the Southwest corner of 97th St. and Metcalf—so be on the lookout. Thai food is my third most-favorite cuisine and I love trying new restaurants from authentic to new-fusion—it’s all good and it’s all fun. Bangkok Pavilion skews to the more authentic, so be prepared for real Thai food. They have a fantastic, albeit somewhat small, lunch buffet served every day. Monday through Friday (11:00 am to 2:30 pm) costs $9 and Saturday and Sunday (11:am to 3:00 pm) costs $14. I went during the workday and it’s always a gamble because I run the risk of overeating and falling asleep under my desk. But it’s worth it! While their buffet could be considered small to the ubiquitous and typical Chinese buffet, they pack a punch of flavor with their offerings and you may find yourself eating the same thing in one sitting. Personally, I always start and end with the Chicken Grapow; a stir-fried minced chicken in a basil sauce with bamboo shoots, onions, bell peppers, and a good amount of spice. They have other meat-based and vegetarian options, two types of curries, fried sides (i.e., crab rangoons, pot stickers, and spring rolls), and a salad bar section. You can also order off the menu at lunch and dinner (no buffet at dinner). Oh, and I almost forgot, they have a full bar—enough said. I love going there for lunch—it’s a bit of a drive from my office, but well worth it every time. They are good for solo-dining, with friends/family, and large groups. And with the buffet and bar, folks are sure to find items they like.

Weekend buffet is awesome, weekday buffet is good except it is a little predictable (almost always the same dishes). The weekend buffet has so many great authentic southeast asian dishes it is hard to list them all. the Laab (Lao and Thai both) are great, the Pho or Beef Noodle Soup is made to order, and the fish dishes are always good. Food off the menu is better than buffet, so don't compare to other non-buffet restaurants until you have tried. I go for HOT, and they can make it HOT if you really ask. On the other hand, my wife is much more tame, but we rarely if ever have issues with heat being wrong or mixed up. Some highlights for me are the Seafood Noodle Soup, The Duck Curry, the Green Curry, and Fresh Spring Rolls, and the crab rangoon. While not a not a traditional Thai dish, the crab rangoon is different in a great way. A friend of mine wishes they sold them in a 20 piece bucket like KFC :) (It is much better at dinner than on buffet, as are most other things). Staff is friendly, food is consistently great, and prices are much better than that "other thai" place chain. Business in the last few years has been slow at dinner, but don't let that dissuade you. Even if the lot is empty you can count on the food to be prepared fresh and with the same attention (if not more) as it would be if the place was packed.

Can't say I've ever come across a Thai buffet before, but it was lunch time and I saw the place was nearby, so what the heck. It was a pretty good mix of stuff, noodle and rice-heavy of course, given the nature of the cuisine, but also some different sorts of dishes to be found. A few fried items (chicken drumsticks, spring rolls, etc), stalwarts of the Asian-style buffet pretty much everywhere around here, some fish, soups, and so on. I particularly liked the sweet chili flounder; I had two helpings of that. Overall, it is a nice little variety and about in line pricewise with other weekend buffets.

I had lunch here with friends and most of us chose the buffet after checking it out. The buffet is $8.95 on weekdays; most menu entrees are $10.95. For a buffet it was fine- a good selection of food, the watermelon slices I had for dessert were very fresh, and a nice selection of sauces/seasonings beside the buffet. This allowed me to "spike" my selections with a nice chili sauce since I like heat in my food! The entrees at the buffet included one with fried tofu so a vegetarian can also find something to eat here. Service was very attentive and we were able to linger and talk for quite awhile after we'd finished eating. This is a standard franchise restaurant with buffet but for what it was, it was fine.

I love the buffet lunch here. It seems as if the buffet has at least 75% of the items you'd normally find on a Thai restaurant menu and each of them is at least as good as you could hope for if you'd ordered a single one as a meal. One of the things I have trouble with in a restaurant is deciding among a number of very appetizing menu items. With this buffet I don't have to! In addition to all the regulars, they have a small salad and desert bar. Service is good refilling the water glasses. The cost, including tax and water only, is just shy of $10. It deserves a visit. Thanks for reading. I’ll appreciate a thumbs up below if you’ve found this helpful.

Friends invited me to Sunday brunch last weekend and boy am I glad! This was wonderful. The selection was amazing and the price was better than reasonable. I found to be really good Thai and the brunch offered a wide selection even for the adventurous!

We come here once in a while. The food was as good as I remember.....very good. The service was spotty at best. Had to wait a long time for anybody to come to our table. Then had to wait for anything else. The atmosphere is bland. Just one big room. Prices are average.

The weekday buffet is amazing however the weekend buffet is simply sublime. The flavors a little more varied. I would put this in my top 10 of KC. Amazing!

I was so disappointed after dining here as it used to be so much better. I have been on a Thai food quest in the KC area, searching for the best. This location is quite a ways from where I live but made the drive with my daughter. Everything has changed including the interior and food quality. It used to have some character and coziness. Now it has a tile floor and hard seats. Many of the dishes in the buffet had grease floating. The items I tried were lacking freshness and flavor. I am so bummed it is not the restaurant I used to frequent.

Took family and we are enjoyed our food, but the seating sort of felt like a cafeteria. Needs more atmosphere and better interior

Nice people serving excellent Thai food. Laarb chicken salad and Papaya salad are quite tasty. I have tried different curry dishes and have not been disappointed. Quite a choice of vegetarian meals but watch for egg and shrimp paste that may be used in the dishes. The menu provides the details.
