Don't expect much

Was there this past week and it hasn't changed much over the years. Some foods were tasty but found some were not warm. Lack of seasoning as well. The men's bathroom needs some love. The walls were very dirty. Staff wasn't very friendly either. If you just want something priced reasonable and quick it works.

Poor food overall

We had a bad experience 3 years ago and so last week we decided to give this place a second chance. Poor ingredients, very bad service from the owner/manager himself. Not friendly. The flavor is definitely bad.

THis place is good for chinese food, just don't expect to find any cashews in the cashew chicken. If you want those you have to ask for them and you'll get a small bowl of salted cashews from a jar.

Great Take Out

Ordered over $60.00 worth of food and was surprised by how much food we got for the money. Had plenty for food for leftovers and the food was hot and fresh. The Chicken Fried Rice was a hit with the kids and my husband loved the Szechaun Beef; spicy but not to spicy. Ordered 3 orders of Crab Rangoons, glad I did or I would not have gotten one with the kids eating 2 orders by themselves. All in all I would strongly recommend China Palace for great chinses.

Dilever went bad

Driver went to wrong house and argued with me over location. I ordered sweet and sour chicken, when I got had no sweet and sour. Its really sad when your home bound and very little to have delivered. Well I won't be reordering again

Chicken and broccoli was horrible. Waste of money. Get a burger and fries instead. I was really disappointed in the taste.

My wife and I ate here for dinner. We order an appetizer, which came after the entrees. My wife had sweet and sour chicken and I had the kung pao beef. The chicken was so bad that my service dog wouldn’t even eat it. It had pineapple with it that was soured. We mentioned it to the waitress and she replied that pineapple wasn’t even in the dish. ??? The Kung pao beef didn’t have much spice to it and the veggies were barely cooked. It was terrible! We won’t be back.

Ownership has changed several times however the food is still good. There are a lot of varieties to choose from on the buffet. Buffet prices are very reasonable. Staff is very attentive to its customers. Great place to eat

Worst food

Never go to this restaurant at all. The food sucks a**⁰. The food is cold or spoiled. There is hardly any food out. It's not worth your time or effort. Go to Lawrence to have good Chinese food.

Good food, good value!

There was a nice selection of food for a very reasonable price. We were traveling through with our grands and everyone was able to find dishes they liked at the supper buffet.

We have eaten there a couple of times in the last year, returning the second time hoping the previous was just a bad day. The food is stale, seeming to be recycled over and over. The meats are tough and chewy. The vegetables are limp and tired.

About what you would expect... standard american chinese buffet.

This is your standard run of the mill, small town Chinese buffet. Don't expect much. We do eat here regularly and prefer it over the other place in town. Food is good, never had any real issues. Service is always fast. Price is good. If you want chinese in Ottawa, this is your place.

Maybe better at peak hours

I came late this evening and the buffet looked pretty sad. I was hungry enough that I chose to eat anyway and the price is right. That said, the food was cold and very salty (for my taste) but it was filling and I was able to get enough. I won't judge it solely based on this visit. It seems they do a decent take out business so maybe their freshly made hot food is better. I did get to try a couple of freshly made hot dishes as I asked if they could make anything up fresh for the buffet and they kindly made a couple of things made to order which was nice. Still salty for my taste but I will stare up front that I don't like salt very much so everything tastes salty to me 😊

Pretty good food.

If you get there right close to 11am that is when the food is fresh & at it's best. They only refill the buffet dishes periodically so unless you want to wait for them to cook something, get there at 11am. Also, I don't recommend it for dinner. The buffet seems to get neglected after 2pm. Just sayin
