It's an old/retro style diner and menu. Very clean, friendly service, and my meat was omelette & hash browns were perfect. Doesn't look like much from the outside; but, the interior is interesting (50's and 60's décor).
I got the ham and cheese omelette which was kind of lacking ham. And the slides it come with it the toast and the potatoes were very very greasy. I know it’s supposed to be an old diner but it doesn’t have to kill you.
The food is decent, but the menu is not the most expansive and the service was slow. Five couples were going to eat here and We had to be split up into three groups. Priced are decent ave our is a locally owned place which...we like.More
Wow! Never expected such a culinary delight such as that! Never knew a sandwich could taste so good! The turkey in it was carved , and obviously smoked turkey breast meat. Our waiter recommended it. She certainly knows what is the best thing they have...to offer! My wife had a BLT and it also was one of the better ones she ever had! Service was quick friendly and efficient.More
Where can you go and get the best home cooking and atmosphere in the metro area. I go away with a full stomach and a great feeling that I've spent time with great friends.
Wife won't eat liver and onions anywhere else (even home thank...goodness). I haven't found anything on the menu accept liver and onions that i've not liked. And then follow the dinner up with pie and ice cream and they will roll you out to the car. Next time you're in there just tell them 'lover boy" sent you.More
Home-style cooking, sweet servers, hands-on owners, and very reasonable prices make Old 56 a very popular place to go, especially on weekends. We are regulars here and love the food as well as the atmosphere!
