I finally decided to take a chance on this place. Wow! I wish I would have tried it sooner. This is the most authentic Mexican cuisine I have had in a long time. The fish tacos are the best I have ever had. The tamales...were outstanding. You won't be disappointed.More

I had some yummy beef empanadas and a pan dulce (pastry). The food is authentic and delicious. The owners are super nice. They serve breakfast, lunch, dinner and ice cream. Yum!

Picked up a dozen for New Year’s Eve. They are huge and delicious. Big hit! Katz’s was fluffier, not dense. Plenty of filing. Our sauces were medium and hot. Ask if you want milder.

Our family decided to try this place tonight and truly enjoyed it! Seriously authentic food, reasonable prices and quaint atmosphere. The beef empanadas were incredible!!! We topped our dinner off with Nievas ice cream....incredible! The staff was really nice too. We highly recommend! :-)

I usually don't share when it comes to my favorite 'less public' eateries, but not sharing this one would be a discredit. You walk in and the smells are memorable. Whether it is the sweet breads, pastries, cakes and cookies, or the slow roasted meat...and authentic Latin cuisine. El Panzote is the definition of a hidden gem. For me personally, the tamales are the best I/we have ever had (local and abroad). I have tried several dishes from the menu and they have all been spectacular. Their service is great the owner and staff are extremely friendly. It has become a staple for our family. Each time we go we take a grab a few tamales and try something new from the menu. Can’t go wrong with a piece of the tres leches cake too ;) A couple of things to note, there is limited seating, In the past we have planned on taking ours on the go, but if there is room, we will stay and eat in. Also, their food is authentic and depending on palate… might be considered a bit on the spicy (hot) side.More
