Food was delicious, a bit on the pricey side but the servings were more than we could eat in one sitting. There were burgers you can't find at other places as well. Would definitely eat there again.

2 small burgers for $17 not including drink. Forgot to ask for ketchup the lady said we’re out of ketchup. So rude over priced and rude. Wait time on Saturday was 45 minutes

I'd heard this place was pretty good, and had intended to stop by but never got there until tonight. THE BEST burger I've had in a really long time. Outstanding burger. Service was friendly. It's a very small place, a couple inside and a couple...outside tables, but if you appreciate a good hamburger, you owe it to yourself to stop by.More

This little gem has changed names and is now Ana's Burger Shack. It is off the beaten path, but apparently many locals know it, as our BW hotel room clerk Sam sent us there, and many come for take out. It is quick and yummy...and had great local ingredients. You go to the counter to order, and most folks leave but there are a couple tables to eat there. We were welcomed by Les, who was proud to tell us their food is quality, and cheeses are from Alma's Creamery, and their meats are from the Clay Center Locker, and their buns are potato bread and substantial, delicious. There are many sizes and choices of cheeses and toppings, and we got both fries and onion rings to try; they were fabulous! My 1/3 size burger was plenty, with cheddar cheese and a wonderful bun, and my chocolate shake was rich and delicious. I am so happy we found this jewel of a place while spending the night in Manhattan! Happy tummies!More

A wonderful family owned business that serves great homemade juicy burgers. This burger is a large fresh hand patty. It has flavor and everything about this burger is great! Ana's took over Big D's.

The name has changed but the food is the same as before. Burger was excellent and fries are really good. Sit inside or outside. Reminded me of a fifty’s burger shack.

This is a true greasy spoon burger joint, and it serves great burgers! I wasn't impressed with the onion rings - they were a bit overcooked, and were nothing special. But my burger more than made up for any minor disappointment. It was big, juicy...and cooked perfectly. The staff is outstanding, and don't mind the owner who tells you that "we'll be with you in an hour." He's just kidding. Well worth eating here.More

We were aware the Big D's recently changed ownership. We were concerned it would not be as good under the new owners. Rest assured they have kept everything the same and it is still the best burger around. They still have gluten free buns too.

It's a small place in which you can eat either inside or outside during warmer weather. There are two round tables and a small bar which seats four people. The people are very friendly. I ordered the small D along with French Fries and Sweet...Tea. Everything is made fresh. Everything was hot when I received it. It's not fancy, but it has a down home feeling. I would recommend stopping by if you're ever in Manhattan, KS.More

I have tried every burger on their menu and have not been disappointed yet! I love cheese on my burger but they want $1 per slice (burgers don't come with cheese) then for any special toppings passed lettuce, tomato, ketchup, mayo etc it costs extra....The fries are probably in my top 3 favorite I've ever had! I wish they had more seating but that doesn't stop me from going! The owner is always nice (comes off a little crude) but won't let you order something you won't enjoy or can handle haha. Great place and will definitely continue going till we move!More

If you are looking for ambiance and a gourmet burger experience -- this ain't it. You want a good, juicy, greasy burger complete with pretty much anything you want on it...Big D's is your place. My favorite? A Big D with lettuce, ketchup, onion, egg,...and bacon. You can add all kinds of cheeses and other things if you want. And the fries...oooooh. The best. Well, the onion rings are right there with them. Get them both. Only downside - they serve Pepsi. It's a sin that you can't enjoy a burger this good with a Coke...but it's still worth going.More

My wife, daughter, and I had lunch at Big D's. The hamburgers are made to order and they are great. They have a nice selection of various types of burgers with a variety of toppings. Their french fries and onion rings are "to die for"....They also have sweet potato fries. They do have chicken sandwiches for those folks who don't eat beef. We had soft drinks and iced tea. Not sure if they have alcoholic beverages. This was a great place to have lunch, at a reasonable price, in Manhattan.More

Amazing fries. Burgers are good portions use local beef. It is a little pricey but as mentioned before quantity makes up for that.

We are visiting from out of state with friends from the area. They suggested Big D's for lunch. Man, what great burgers and fries! The owner and staff came out and made sure everything was to our liking and we really appreciated the "mom and...pop" feel to it. They were very friendly. If we're in the area again, I'd visit again!More

Drove by this restaurant many times without a thought to give it a try...until it was recommended. Good meat makes for a excellent burger! The meat is fresh not the frozen patties you get at those chain burger joints. Can't wait to go back and...try the other items on the menu.More
