I used to go to The Chef back in the 70's, but it wasn't anything like it is now. Busy place and great comfort good, and unique.

The staff is incredibly friendly! Excellent food. They told us it would be a 20min wait for a seat, but it only took 8min! Can’t wait to go back!
Open early, comfortable, clean and unique atmosphere. Wonderful staff and food is served quick. Home cooked feel and flavor, and on the edge of downtown.

Has great breakfast and lunch menu! Downtown urban vibe.It is an especially good place to go on Saturday morning.
Great food, kitschy setting. Good service, but this is an extremely popular and busy place. Be prepared to wait, but it was worth it!
This place is soooo busy. Service was decent and the place was clean overall. Food was decent, but nothing out of the ordinary. I'm not sure why there is always a line here. Food is good, but not not super special.
Nice place, clean, friendly welcoming employees, good food. Had their “BELT”, a BLT with fried egg. For lettuce they use a stack of fresh crisp spinach leaves. Bacon is thick and first rate quality. Recommend, and will return.
