This place was recommended to us the last time we were in KC so decided to try it out during our visit on Saturday. First the hostesses were not very friendly which gave it its first strike. We sat at a table where the base...was super loose and despite advising the staff of this issue they did not seat us elsewhere, strike 2! Then as we sat awaiting our food we noticed a waitress remove her mask while in the kitchen then proceeded to wipe her mouth with her bare hand then pull the mask back up and proceeded to the bar to retrieve drinks. After that she placed unwrapped straws into the glasses with said hand and take said drinks to customers, strike 3,4,&5!!! We received our food, I left half of mine due to the catfish & slaw having zero flavor and also possibly due to the nauseating feeling of contamination! My husband said his was good. Our waitress was super pleasant but that was the only thing pleasant about our visit! Definitely would not recommend or return!More

I am so sorry to hear of this happening. At Jazz we want to promote an atmosphere that is warm and fun and in this case it sounds like we failed. I'd like to get a little more info about your visit if you would...More

I would totally recommend this place to anybody and everybody! Food was excellent, from the bread, and popcorn shrimp appetizer to the Blackened Chicken Fettuccine to the Shrimp Etouffee! Portions were very generous as well. I had the 1/2 order of pasta and my husband...had to help me finish it. Staff was very nice and even comped a portion of our meal when the item took to long to cook and didn't come out with the rest of our food. It's in a great place at Legends so after a huge meal, you can take a stroll through the Legends mall.More

Jazz is always a winner. The menu is quite large yet they still make my husband his favorite adaptation. The drink menu never disappoints.

Wanted some Blackened Catfish and found this place. Walked in and was seated. Server came right over and got our drink order. She was very helpful pointing items out on the Menu. Food came and it was hot and delicious. If I am back in,...we will be returning to this establishment.More

Novel restaurant with good service and good ‘Louisiana’ style food....bloody Mary’s not to special....stick to the beer....go for something spicy, you won’t regret it

Fun atmosphere and decor. Large menu with many cajun and creole specialties. Gumbo is quite good. Missed alligator on the appetizer menu but ordered the entree as an appetizer. Boiled crawfish were a treat, authentic po boys, and always great etoufee. Beignets for dessert--not Cafe...du Monde and a little over done but good, and lucious cheesecakes. Server was a bit slow but friendlyMore

If you’re craving Cajun food, this will satisfy you. Don’t expect the food to match what you’ll get in NOLA, but they do Cajun flavors pretty well. I had the fried oyster po boy. The oysters were small, but fried well. The coleslaw was well...seasoned and not sweet, which is how I like it. But the hush puppies were greasy. Everyone at the table was satisfied with their meals.More

We used to live in KC and frequented the Jazz regularly, both here and on 39th street. I must say we were disappointed with the food and service on this visit. Everyone thought their food was just so so. It took a long time even...though the restaurant was virtually empty and the server was not very attentive. Next time I think we will go elsewhere.More

I don't know if they take reservations. My husband and I just walked in and was seated quickly. I agree with cprinkc, I would call and ask. Jazz (913) 328-0003
