This was our very first visit to Kansas, so of course, we were not familiar with any of the restaurants. We knew we wanted barbecue and after reading several positive reviews, we chose the Hickory Stik and man it did NOT disappoint! We ordered the brisket, pulled pork and ribs with a bunch of sides. The portions we ample and enough for the 3 of us to share amongst each other. My favorite was the brisket and the fried okra.
The restaurant itself was clean and cozy and all of the employees were very friendly and professional.
We highly recommended the Hickory Stik and hope to visit again soon. MAHALO!

We have eaten here quite often. We’ve mostly taken home carry-out and a we’ve had it at work several times for office luncheons. The food is great! We really loves their beans… the spicy ones with little chunks of meat in them! We have had the brisket, pulled pork, chicken, hotlinks, ribs, and all the sides and we’ve never been disappointed. You definitely need to try them!

Really good BBQ. The prices looked average at first on the website but they had some good deals. The kids meals were very big. I was impressed.
For adults we both had a two meat dinner, with two sides and toast. All four of us ate for $30ish. Money well spent.
I’ve lived my whole life a KC BBQ snob. It was really good and I would definitely go back. Four different sauces all good too.
Smokey beans were really good. No fries, but everything else was good.
Great service, very clean, nice atmosphere. I’ll be back!

This is some of the best barbeque that we have enjoyed, certainly in the Hutchinson - Wichita area and rivals (or surpasses) any barbeque restaurant in Kansas City. The food is delicious and for very reasonable prices. My wife and I got two meals, each with two sides and a drink, for $22 dollars. It's off the beaten path, but well worth your trip downtown!

Found this great local place while traveling through town. I highly recommend it! Enjoyed a delicious meal with friendly service. We had pulled pork, salad, and beans (note - the spicy beans aren't kidding around, very peppery; good, but had a progressive effect). We saw a lot of people ordering take-out but they also had plenty of seating. They had four varieties of sauce to choose from, we tried all of them, all were good, but we especially liked the hickory and the gold. It looked like they were constructing a retail and shipping area, so I'm hoping the sauces might one day be available for online purchase.
