After a Terrible Experience at Applebee's and unable to have anyone wait on us, we went to Whiskey Creek in Hays, KS. We were immediately greeted with open arm s by a very pleasant hostess. She seated the 3 of us and our Service Animal. Our waiter was Dillon and he was on top of things.. We had drinks within... More

This place is NOT generic. Great atmosphere, nice staff, and their menu is not average. Their chefs are talented.

This place is another Hays foul! Food and service are Terrible. Have tried it twice, both times the same. Couple of us even got sick after eating steak. Their cornbread is dry and the twice baked potatoes are fake potatoes. They hollow out the real potato and throw it away, then add box potato mix! Not impressed with this place.

My husband and I shared an Appetizer platter and it was perfect for a meal for the 2 of us. Very clean. We went around lunch time so not very crowded this time and that was nice. The only draw back was the music was a little too loud.

Service was slow at best. Food was terrible. Blooming onion, breading tasted burnt and onion inside undercooked. Burgers so greasy the bottom of buns dripping with grease. Steak not cooked properly and lacking in flavor. Had a better service and meal the next morning at IHOP

Staff is friendly and my wife enjoyed the potato soup. That were the positive ends. I ordered the Sirloin w/ mashed potatoes. Steak was average at best and my mashed potatoes came out cold. First time here and will be the last time if we travel through. My wife left a note you out waitress stating "You were very sweet,... More

We were underwhelmed with the food and bar. It's pretty much a lower end steak house with a moderately better atmosphere. As travelers looking for something above "road food", I would look at something closer to downtown, like Gella's.

So disappointed by this place. The service was so bad. The place was practically empty and we waited over 45 min for our food and it wasn't even hot when it came out! Food was mediocre at best too. Not worth it - do not recommend.

This was our second stop at Whiskey Creek while traveling across Kansas. We were very happy with our beef entrees both times. Salads are large but with cheap lettuce. Complimentary bread is nice. Wine list has multiple choices at reasonable prices. Staff has been great, and made the evening special. If you are staying in a hotel, ask for a... More
