What a bummer. This place had good reviews so I chose it for dinner as I passed through town on business. It was 7:45 PM and they close at 9PM. From the second I walked in I felt rushed as everyone was scurrying around with...one purpose, to close. That can be expected (even excused to some degree) when you show up 5 or 10 minutes before closing but....? My food came out very fast, in fact so fast the crab/cream cheese Rangoon were under fried, cold and mushy. Then my Shrimp Panang Curry arrived seconds later basically slopped out with a big pile of white rice and very little curry with a few shrimp in it not at all portioned to the rice pile next to it. No love shown here and no veggies at all in the curry sauce. So I mentioned I would like a little more sauce and maybe some stir fried onion and a little bell pepper in it as is traditional. The waiter said "we will steam some veggies for you that will be easier". He shows up with a pile of frozen mixed veggies that had been nuked and still no curry sauce. I went up to let them know that wasn't really what I was after and the owners son said "that will be $24.95"! No acknowledgment of my comments, made very politely. Total apathy, I asked him if he cared and he said "no I really don't". No wonder there was no one else in there! I don't know if these young kids of the owner are super oppressed or what but it's not good. I went to Taco bell on my way back to the hotel.More

I really enjoy this place. Good Thai and Chinese. They know the difference too. Best curry around here. Great food! The only reason it’s a four is there’s sometimes a slight issue on cleanliness of tables. They just need a good scrubbing.

Food was good. Service was fine. Decent selection of menu options. Food was a good size portion. We will go back. Nice to have them in our area.

I really enjoy this place. The food is generally very good. I do like their bubble tea. I haven’t had any bad experiences, but I would recommend steering clear of seafood (except for shrimp). I got a dish that was very very fishy once. Could...be the fish sauce. But this place has really good selections.More

I'm going to fully admit I was a wee bit skeptical about Thai food in a small town. But I will explore my unsupported biases privately. The food was really good. The service was not great, but the food was good enough to overlook it....Plus, they were totally willing to make my food "middle-aged white lady" spicy...which is to say not at all. It was also super fast!More

Dont be scared off when you see the outside, and even if you see the interior. Both could use a make-over. The food however makes all up for that. It is fresh and tastefull.

I was hoping for a little better based on some of the reviews. Garden City is not exactly an Oasis with wonderful dining experiences on every corner. This is probably one of the best oriental restaurants in town. I prefer a Vietnamese restaurant that is...closed on Wednesday and this presents a problem when I am here on Wednesday for business. If your chinese usually comes on a buffet or takeout box, you will love this place. If you will not touch buffet chinese, you may be a bit disappointed. All in all it is not bad, but I can not say it is the best in Garden City or Kansas as some have suggested. The decor is very casual, but my favorite around the corner is no better. The food could be better than average with a little more care in the kitchen but it will do if you are craving Thai and happen to be in Garden City.More

One of my favorite places to eat in town. Good selection of thai and Chinese. The mango and sticky rice dessert is so tasty! Be aware, some items are VERY spicy.

My husband and I were hungry for Thai and stopped here for a late lunch at 2:30, based on Trip Advisor reviews. It was delicious. I ordered the Pad Kee Mao with shrimp from a recommendation of our server. It was spicy and really good....My husband loved his chicken curry! It was all fresh and somewhat healthy. Stop and give it a try!More

Thai Arawan is the very best Asian food we've had in Garden City to date. Take the spice warning very seriously! I'm used to ordering spice level 3 at most Thai places but that was too hot for me here. I'd stick to a 1.5...or 2 star spice level if you want hot.More
