We stopped here at 2:00 on a Friday afternoon, and at this hour there were still 13 other customers busily eating lunch. We opted for a radically different and absolutely delicious take on the jalapeno popper, and a full bucket of wings with seasoned fries. The wings, smoked and then flash fried, are solid by themselves (smoky and moist), but you can choose no less than 5 different sides to go with them. We really like the garlic parmesan and sweet Asian ginger, which altered the flavor profile in enjoyable ways. The crisp fries complemented the wings nicely. For $20.16, there is great value here. It's definitely worth getting off the interstate and making the trip into town.

Lots of food

We got carryout here to take back to the hotel after a long day of driving as part of a cross country road trip - my mom really wanted to try some barbecue as we were in the area. Everybody was really happy with their meals, and the portions were generous - our kids split a steak dinner and some big onion rings, and my parents and husband got various platters of pulled pork, brisket and other meats. I wasn't hungry for a heavy meal so opted for a southwest chicken salad and was pleasantly surprised at how much chicken, avocado and corn was in the salad, and the greens were also of good quality (not just cheap lettuce). Overall we were all satisfied and despite the large portions almost all the food was eaten that night.

We were looking for a local place to grab a good lunch. Hit this one out of the park! We knew we stumbled on a winner after the first bite. My husband had the brisket with baked beans & I ordered the burnt ends with okra and a salad. The homemade ranch served with the okra was perfect. 10/10 recommend

Every entre' is smoked to the best possible accomplishment. Checking the daily specials is recommended. Some people order their two sides to be the fried okra. This is must stop in place when travelling from KC to Wichita or vice-versa! Consistently the best in Kansas!

Prime Rib at a BBQ joint

I was pleasantly surprised to see that Prime Rib was the Saturday night special. It was a hard choice because all the bbq choices sounded so delicious too. It took a while to get seated because they were busy, but once we were seated, our waitress was great! The prime rib was smoky tasting and delicious too. There were a lot of take out orders too so I can tell this is a popular restaurant!

The Krumpe 16 oz Prime Rib was wonderful, preceded by a great salad with delicious blue cheese dressing. Our wait staff was Alexis…a perfect service. My wife loved the baker potato with brisket.

Good food with fantastic service!

We met friends from Kansas City at Bobby D's on Saturday, September 9th. We had 2 turkey and 2 pulled pork sandwiches. They were large and delicious. The cole slaw was tasty and the fried okra was cooked perfectly. The young lady that waited on us was positively fantastic. We were there for an extended period of time, and she saw to it that were never without beverages....always with a smile. She made our day! Thank you!!

Had some great pulled pork sandwiches. Worth a trip for just those. Baked beans were excellent. The slaw could have used more dressing and a finer chop. Tea was great. Outstanding service.

Stopped in for dinner while driving cross country. Chelse was a perfect waitress!! Feel like we were old friends. Food was great!. BBQ was great, tender and sauce also great. Brown Cow Cheese cake made the meal! Stop in and request Chelse...you won't be sorry!

Great place for yummy BBQ

Great food. Excellent customer! I had the pulled pork sandwich with baked beans. My husband has the brisket sandwich with fried orca and coleslaw. And we both had sweet tea! And of course we couldn’t say no go cherry cobbler. Our server was so polite!

Very Good BBQ

The slice brisket sandwich was very good. The fried okra was excellent as well as the onion rings. I cannot recommend the cherry cobbler as it was, to me, more like a thin piece of cherry cake.

FInd this place and eat there

We got here early and were glad we did, but at 5pm on a Friday night they were already out of burnt ends... says something about the food. I had pulled pork, husband had ribs. Waylynne was our server and super attentive. Food was flavorful and plenty.

Smoky Burnt Ends And Smoked Chicken Wings

We visited the restaurant with 3 of us and no waiting. The restaurant is cozy and friendly. The appetizer smoked chicken wings were incredible with citrus chipotle sauce. The burnt ends were very good as well as the cheesy potatoes. The sliced brisket didn't taste like it was smoked so it was just ok. The rolls weren't homemade. Overall was a very good experience.
