I genuinely don't even know where to start. The meal and service was extremely poor - the food was bone dry and we had to ask for condiments on several occasions. And I don't know who's the dog is, but should it really be tied up outside barking constantly whilst I am trying to eat?

Went as a big family outing with 2 toddlers and a baby. It was a Saturday lunch. The menu options were good and everyone enjoyed them. The carvery was a reasonable price and good selection. Puddings are extra at the weekend which we didn't know but not too expensive. Drinks were the normal price for a restaurant. Staff were polite... More

We have always been very happy with the carvery. The meat is always succulent and the large array and enticing vegetable are always delicious. That's been the case for several years. However and it's a big however, the deserts have become very cheap and nasty. Fairly reasonable to look at; but all topped with masses of sludge : i.e UHT cream... More

Called in on the off chance, as we hadn't booked. It was a very busy Saturday night but they cleared a table for us. The carvery looked lovely and very popular, but we chose hunters chicken and their signature burger. They were both very tasty and served with chunky chips and a delicious salad. The only downside was that the... More

Went for a nice relaxing meal with friends but all we got was was a dog barking non stop which had been tied up by pub owners near childrens play area. It was a large dog which seemed to be poorly accommodated and in distress. We complained twice to waitress and bar staff with no result or apologies. Last time... More

Visited this week meeting and catching up with family. We enjoyed a very pleasant lunchtime, the carvery was very good quality, served on normal sized hot plates by very polite and professional staff at a reasonable price. Clean and tidy throughout but don't sit near door to toilets as the squeaking door will drive you mad.

First trip to this place. We booked a table and just as well as it got busy. We had the carvery and it was absolutely delicious. No complaints about the food what so ever. Will definitely return .

Recommended to come for the Carvery and we were not disappointed. It was fabulous. 3 meats beautifully cooked and a choice of about 14 vegetables. Everything was great and plenty of it. The gravy was really tasty and there were accompaniments, horseradish, Apple and cranberry sauce. Thoroughly recommend it. Lovely pub and cheerful staff.

Always a fantastic carvery with veggie options too. Choice of vegetables is fantastic - a meal in themselves. As a carvery it is largely self service but staff on hand for other orders
