Book early! Famous carvery that never fails to fill and please! Always had a good meal - have eaten there about four/five times this year. Great selection of vegetables , clean and light surroundings. Cosy in the winter. Close to junction 7 M5

AMAZING!!!!! Stayed nearby for 3 nights and last weekend and found a real gem in this place! Great value; cannot fault the staff or the food - main menu & carvery delicious. Loos need an update and tables a bit slow to be cleared but it's probably because they are sooooooo busy - you must book otherwise be disappointed!!! 9/10.

Our 18 strong group of touring cyclists had pre-ordered sandwiches and chips. When we arrived they were served quickly. Sandwiches and chips were good quality and value for money. We also enjoyed the cask beer.

Booked table for eight on Wednesday previous to Saturday evening. On arriving Saturday night we were told there was no booking for us. Instead of apologies we were given cold shoulder treatment and were made to feel that it was our fault! The Manageress was just not interested, despite showing her booking on phone, she just walked off. We were eventually... More

Absolutely awful!! We have been going to this pub for over 2 years now and its just going further and further downhill. I booked a table through opentable.co.uk. I received dirty looks from bar staff on entrance - a great way to greet customers! And then they couldn't find our booking and asked if we had definitely booked... I definitely... More

Food was lovely but they never have enough staff on. Its awkward where you have to queue up would be better idea to take tables away by the glass doors so people could queue round there to stop blocking whole bar etc up. We were placed by the tables by those doors which was so hot as your right next... More

I had to write a review after seeing a few other reviews on here complaining about the staff and specifically the older blonde woman. The food here is pretty good and it's a lovely place to go on a nice sunny day. Service at the bar can be slow at times, but hey what's a minute or two. It tends... More

I booked a table of 9 for my father's 80th Birthday. Was told our table number, which was only set for 8, so we stole a chair and knife and fork off another table !! We were stuffed at the side of the carvery, where if one person needed to get out the whole table had to move !! We... More

Firstly, the important thing to know is that's it a pub that does food, and not a restaurant. If you are just expecting pub grub and not table service, then you'll probably find your expectations are met. We went for a Sunday lunch recently, and were a bit disappointed to find they only do carvery (stainless steel troughs of veg,... More

Meals were slow to be served..also My sister ordered a rubharb crumble with custard and it came with just a teaspoon of custard when we complained it was taken away but when the pudding was brought back it was served with more custard which was cold and lumpy !!!
