Visited this week meeting and catching up with family. We enjoyed a very pleasant lunchtime, the carvery was very good quality, served on normal sized hot plates by very polite and professional staff at a reasonable price. Clean and tidy throughout but don't sit near door to toilets as the squeaking door will drive you mad.

First trip to this place. We booked a table and just as well as it got busy. We had the carvery and it was absolutely delicious. No complaints about the food what so ever. Will definitely return .

Recommended to come for the Carvery and we were not disappointed. It was fabulous. 3 meats beautifully cooked and a choice of about 14 vegetables. Everything was great and plenty of it. The gravy was really tasty and there were accompaniments, horseradish, Apple and cranberry sauce. Thoroughly recommend it. Lovely pub and cheerful staff.

Always a fantastic carvery with veggie options too. Choice of vegetables is fantastic - a meal in themselves. As a carvery it is largely self service but staff on hand for other orders

Went with several friends for lunch on a Thursday. Car park was very full and I had to double park. Very busy inside. Was not told that I could order a seniors meal. Perhaps I don't look my age! Carvery was good, plenty to choose from. The beef was so tender. I did not have a desert.

Be sure that you realise that there is either a carvery meal and also a seniors carvery meal at lunch time. We did not realise this and thought we had ordered the seniors meal but when we went to get our dessert were told we had the carvery only since we had larger plates. At the time a little disappointed... More

We went here for my wife birthday with friends. The staff were very pleasant when we arrived and the carvery looked lovely but we all decided to eat off the menu. I had bbq chicken and and wife had the vegi option which was a vegetable lasagne with garlic bread. Our friends had the bbq chicken and a doubled up... More

A grand total of 12 adults and 3 children of my family met at the Plough & Harrow today for a lunch and general get together. The welcome we received from Jack and the other Bar Staff was lovely. The large area reserved for us was ideal and the food was to a very high standard. Some had the Carvery... More

Went for a works night out. Table of 12 - we pre-ordered our food but a last minute change of one of the staff, meant a last minute change of food - this was no problem and everyone got what they requested. All hot, all pretty served together. The food was lovely and good value. A few of the group... More
