Wonderful late Sunday lunch - fabulous find. Plenty of choice, meat and veg to die for! Service with a smile and attentive staff. Well organised.

We used to go often for the carvery they offer as it was top notch! But unfortunately this time it was just average, the veg were limp and cold with not much taste and the meat was a little dry. However this could of been a bad day in the kitchen?? Who knows! Service was at the bar but the... More

Visited today for the first time. Food was excellent and the staff very friendly and obliging. The surroundings made for a relaxed atmosphere - how nice to have bright clean carpets instead of noisy wooden floors that seem to have sprung up everywhere. When next in the area we shall definitely make this our first choice for a lunch time... More

We called on the off chance on the way from Stratford. We were quickly seated and were impressed by the tasteful ambience. The carvery was DELICIOUS - closest to home-made ever! Roast parsnips, cauliflower cheese, fresh carrots, veg cooked to perfection and tasty, lean meat. Staff were friendly and welcoming. I'd visit again when in the area.

Myself and a friend go to The March Hare most weeks after work. We find the staff are always most welcoming and chatty and always make our visit an enjoyable one. Lesley always makes time to come and speak to us and check that everything is alright. You don't get that at many places !! The food is always of... More

We go to the March hare quite a bit,the food is really good and quite competitive.the restaurant can get quite busy especially at the weekend so it's really a good idea to book a table in advance, the only thing I find REALLY annoying is the choice of meat, the beef is great, the pork is great but I only eat the dark... We’d been here before but not for a while. On entering the building we made our way to the bar. We’d booked a table and it looked as though it was a good job we did. It was a Sunday so there are two time slots, 12pm & 2pm. We chose the latter. We were greeted with a smile by... More

Thirteen of us arrived having booked for our lunch at 1 o' clock. Some had the excellent carvery, some individual items from the specials menu. The service was excellent and in no time we were all served. Clearly a very organised kitchen. The food was excellent in lovely surroundings. The place was quite busy but there was plenty of space... We called into this inn in our way from visiting friends. We were lucky to get a table. No sooner had we sat down than the place became heaving and no wonder. The carvery was extremely good - 3 types of roast meat and a very good selection of vegetables to accompany them - all cooked to perfection. There was... More
