A family party, we visited for an evening meal on a busy Friday, but were seated very quickly with our drinks. Our orders were soon taken by the efficient waitress as we chatted. The carvery meals and those from the al a carte menu were...More

Best carvery ever. Large portions of good quality food with a majestic selection of vegetables. If you visit make sure you don't eat anything all day before you go.

We came as part of a large party and the staff coped very well with our numbers. Although we ordered separately, the food all arrived at the same time despite it being almost full and very busy. All in the party enjoyed their meal but...More

Go here quite a lot, must hand it to them we often go during their busiest times and the food is always fantastic and fresh, reasonably priced. Bar staff sometimes struggle during busy periods but they are always polite and friendly. Well done

We've been here many times and feel standards have fallen, hopefully it's just a blip and have been unlucky on our last couple of visits. On our last visit we both had the carvary, as usual plenty of meat and a good selection of vegetables...More

I have just seen your comments and you are indeed most correct. TRIPADVISOR management have confused our entry with run down pub in Leominster town also called Royal Oak. They do have the photos, but from USA obviously do not take much care. I cannot withdraw this by e.mail or correct the error. In 30 days time I can submit a clarification and perhaps be able to call for lunch with yourselves before then. This be becoming very common unfortunately, UK place names, similar areas, similar sounding names.
