We come here regularly and have had great service, food and drinks. The pub itself has lots of character and has a lovely garden during the summer months. In the winter it is cosy with a log burner and friendly staff. A great place

We were staying in the Travelodge on the A299 for a few nights in order to visit Canterbury and places along the north Kent coast. The Travelodge had no attached "eatery" but we saw the signs for The Dove Inn so did a recce and thought the place fit the bill. It's in a very quiet spot with a small... More

I've been alone and with family for lunch and dinner on several occasions. Love the food, all local artisan suppliers. Pizzas and baked Camenbert are to die for.

The Dove Inn is a gem of a pretty country pub just 2 minutes off the A299, 4 miles west of Whitstable. We popped in for a light lunch to check it over. It's one of those places you just wished you had visited earlier - instead if steaming past it. We just wanted a snack lunch and decided to... More

For many years this pub has enjoyed a good reputation, but, judging by our experience, its standards have fallen. We had to wait ages for the food to appear; perhaps trying to fill the gap, the proprietor asked rather too often if we wanted more drinks.

This place is good , we visited twice and it didn't disappoint . Staff friendly ,food is simple but quality of product is very good. Highlight was the gravy on the Sunday roast , just serve that up as a pint it would work , packed with flavour and a great consistency . Don't be put off by the London... More

I visited this pub/restaurant today with family and was very pleased with the food, service, drinks and price. Nice cosy place to have Sunday lunch off the beaten track but worth finding. A high chair was provided for the youngest member of the family. We all had a starter, a main meal and sweet with drinks so the bill was £108.80... More

5 stars. Intimate setting with delicious flavoursome food. Allowed to take our time. Ham hock then lamb and sardines then steak n mushroom pie with exquisite lemon posset to end. A definite return trip. A saloon bar with bawdy locals added a twist to the evening.

Heard the Dove has a wood fired pizza oven so decided to give it a try. Although the names given to the various pizzas do not reflect the traditional Ingredients e.g. the Napolitana, the pizzas were very good and enjoyed by all. We were very disappointed with the standard of the desserts. They were traditional English desserts by name but... More
