This was by far the best mexican restaurant we have been to. Food was excellent, service was excellent, restaurant was clean and well lit. The servers were fun and kept their cool even though they were extremely busy when we first arrived. Hands down the very best cheese dip we've ever had!

Two friends of mine and I went to the El Patron restaurant for lunch and were very pleased. The decor is in typical Mexican style, Mexican music piped in was great. The service was very good and the food was adequately priced and very good. The menu has a lot of options--very impressive. All three of us were very pleased and recommend it.

Great service from the time you walk in the door. They have a huge dining room and also outdoor seating. I had the La Taquiza which is gluten free and diary free and hard to find a meal like that in a Mexican Restaurant. You have to try the Black Margaritas while you're there. They are the absolute best I've ever had!!!!!!!!!

Nice atmosphere. Stopped for a late lunch on a short trip. Weren't many people in the place. Typical decor for a Mexican restaurant. I had the lunch special #1 with a chili relleno (my fave). It was EXCELLENT! Priced right.

El Patron is a great Mexican restaurant in downtown Baldwin City. They have a large dining area and a sizable menu, plenty of choices! We had attentive service and great food.

We had a fun time while we ate some amazing food! We even learned some Spanish from Gullo, our waiter. He was very attentive to the many needs of a party of six.

They check all the boxes of what it takes to be an excellent restaurant. Friendliness, Awesome Service, Pleasing Atmosphere and Delicious Authentic, as well as Americanized dishes for those more accustomed to that. Never a wrong order, never anything but a wonderful experience.

Local favorite for Mexican food. Newly expanded, service has been compromised due to enlarged space but I’m confident they’ll have it back in order soon!

We ate a late lunch while going for the Polar Express.
Overall good food - wife had the mini-chimichangas, I had the burrito patron and kiddo had the kids burrito.
The burrito patron is huge and comes loaded with shrimp, chicken and steak as well as cheese dip and green salsa.
Fair warning - their habanero salsa is hot, but flavorful!
Only small negative was the length of time to get the ticket after finishing our meal (approx 10-15 min) but there seemed to only be one waiter working and others bringing out food.
