This was an institution in Des Moines. It started in the 1960's or 70's and had been going strong since then. Recently closed with no prior notice. The latest owner has hinted that they may reopen in a different location. Too bad, they had a fantastic polish sausage sandwich. The nachos were way too big for a meal for only... More

I ordered a hamburger without cheese, well done and got one with cheese and pink. Friends seemed happy with their food. Staff was average. Many tvs and drink specials. I might consider it a go-to sports bar if I lived close by. I had Mustards pizza many years ago and remembe liking it.

We've been to Mustard's several times and have love it in the past. On this visit, the BBQ beef sandwich was not very good and the steak sandwich average at best. Disappointed this time around.

I've been eating Hotdogs at Mustards for 45 years. They are the best in town. I have never ordered anything but Hotdogs there. The service is spotty. It has run from great to terrible. If you like a good Chicago Dog this is the place.

I visited your Restaurant in Des Moines near 70th Street. The young lady at the register was so sweet, and professional. The staff was great. I ordered a Turkey Reuben, and was told it loaded with "Special Sauce", "SWISS CHEESE", Turkey, and Sauerkraut! Well I have to say, that was the Worst not only Reuben, but worst sandwich I've ever... We tried this restaurant via Groupon. The food was ample, but not as tasty as we'd hoped. Everything was good - not great.

I grew up in Des Moines and used to come to Mustards for great BBQ. This time rather than the BBQ I decided to have a Grinder. I was very disappointed in it. Very little flavor and the fries were under cooked. The only reason I didn't give a worse rating is that it was my mistake not to stick... More

We found this place by accident while visiting in the Des Moines area. I had the Chicago dog and spouse had the breaded tenderloin sandwich. Both were tasty and filling. People around us were enjoying bbq, pizza, and pasta. There are multiple TVs dedicated to sports. If we lived here, I'd be here often.

Ordering as you enter, it is difficult to understand the full menu. The pork tenderloins were average and the other sandwiches were OK. No beer service for lunch unless you want a bottled beer with a limited selection. A lot of better lunch restaurants in the area.

We order take out from Mustard's and were extremely disappointed. The steak sandwich was not even edible; tough with a lot of gristle. The chicken wasn't totally cooked. We should of taken it all back but it was pouring rain. We could pick up our order in 20 minutes but the wait for delivery was 90 minutes. Will never go... More
