Traveling from Iowa to home and needed to stop for supper so I checked trip advisor and found Landmark Restaurant. Not a place we would have found w/o trip advisor. Definitely a local diner. While we were there at least three customers came in for...take out orders. You could tell the other customers were locals because of the way they talked with the staff. I had the bbq bacon burger which was awesome. Definitely a hand pattied burger, not some frozen patty. Husband had the taco salad, which he is very picky about. He said it was one of the best he’s had. Got to hand it to the two elderly wait staff, they knew what they were doing and did a great job! This little diner is across from the outlets in Williamsburg and it adjoins the Casey’s. So if you go to the outlet and want a great place to eat I’d advise you to stop in. Definitely a hidden gem!More

We were traveling on I-80 from Iowa City after a medical appointment and we stopped at the Landmark for lunch. What a nice surprise! They featured a full menu plus daily specials. I had a grilled tenderloin and my wife had the broiled cod. Both...came with 2 sides, so we got each got a salad and I got fries and my wife got mashed potatoes. Everything was just right for a reasonable price. We left very happy.More

Stopped for breakfast on a weekend trip. Good food, friendly service. Right across the street from an Outlet Mall.

On our way to Des Moines we stopped at the Casey's gas station to use the bathroom. We where going to get a snack at the gas station when we happened to turn around and discover this restaurant and I'm glad we did. The place...was clean our server was excellent food was good and you got good size portions for your money. Next time I head out this way we are defiantly coming back.More

The food is very good. It is more like home cooking than restaurant food. The atmosphere is clean and simple like a cafe from days gone by. The pricing is very fair for the quality and portion you receive. If you're in the area of Williamsburg,...IA on hwy 80 I highly recommend this place. We live about ten miles away and frequent this resturant.More

We were our for Halloween and stopped for dinner. Patty melt is always good. Grilled cheese was good. Granddaughter had chicken strips and they were way over done. She couldn't eat them.

Need I say more?? The food was average, edible.. and on the plus side I didn't get botulism. That's about the only positive I had for this restaurant. The service was mediocre and the food was nothing to write home about. One star for the...infamous landmark.More

Read the reviews and wondered whether to try it but we didn't want to drive anymore... beginning was dicey - they seemed swamped and understaffed, but decided to wait. Glad we did! The staff was running, but very apologetic for the wait and VERY attentive....The food was very good, delivered timely and HOT. We had the prime rib - hot, medium rare and tender, and the liver and onions - fork-tender and not overcooked.More

Stopped by after visiting the outlet mall. I ordered the smothered chicken, which was a rubbery slab of chicken (obviously thawed from frozen) with mushy veggies (from frozen too I'm sure) and a yellowish "cheese" sauce. There was water under it all which was gross....The mashed potatoes were okay, but the gravy left a weird taste. My dinner guest ordered the creamed chicken, which was lukewarm at best and also had a weird aftertaste. This was our first time there and probably our last.More
