Is a nice place to be. I have been there with some Brazilians friends what makes the name of the place funny. ( cu Means anus in a pejorative way in Portuguese perhaps is also the copper abbreviation ). They enjoy the time there, we have had some cocktails and snacks. Will be back when around!

We visited Cu for lunch last week with a group of 6 and it was excellent. The menu has been updated but still has local favorites like the lobster bisque and Monte Cristo. The service was also excellent. The newly renovated entrance allows you to enter the restaurant separately from The Cellar (the wine/bar/music venue) and there is really nice... More

Food was very good and so were cocktails and service. The only complaint is we felt rushed and it was early, restaurant was empty.

We are from out of town and were looking for a nice place to have dinner. The atmosphere is sophisticated with an extensive wine list and nice selection of cocktails. The lobster/shrimp bisque was delicious. The side salad was also very good and extremely generous portion. The rolls were fresh and warm. I had salmon special over rice pilaf with... More

CU was such an amazing find in Waterloo, Iowa. I'm from the Cities and wasn't expecting to find such great gourmet food when I came for a visit. I had their pork and it was simply amazing. The flavors, the presentation, the wait staff, it was all so great. I highly recommend this to travelers looking for a fine dining... More

A classy restaurant by downtown Waterloo standards. Good food, but the chef tries too hard. Instead of serving high quality butter, they offer 'sun-dried tomato and parmigian butter'. The pork goujons come with gorgonzola plus all sorts of nuts and berries. French chefs keep things simple with the best quality ingredients - it doesn't need to be complicated.

I'm usually consider myself a fair person, and overly understanding at times. But there is a reason that the table of people beside us, left their food and their drinks without paying tonight. A one hour wait for our food, with a full kitchen staff is not acceptable. We had to ask several times for simple refills of water. The... More

Amazing Food! Very accommodating Staff. Great Martini's. Went out to eat with some girl friends here and we practically licked our plates clean. I enjoyed this restaurant very much. Never thought I would find something so nice in Waterloo, IA. A hidden gem

Enjoy going here for business lunches. Dinner entrees I have had better. Lobster bisque soup is decent.
