Great restaurant. We went with a group of 9 people on a Friday night. Great service, half price martinis and very good food. Liked the atmosphere. The way it is designed is easy to feel private from other diners which allowed for a nice evening of conversation without any problems hearing.

I selected The Brown Bottle Restaurant for our dinner meal, purely from the rave reviews on TripAdvisor -- and we were not disappointed! Very tasty and well-prepared and well-presented Italian meal, with good wine. The staff was friendly and helpful. An awesome dining atmosphere. 4 to 10 PM, Monday through Saturday. Do yourself a favor and just go there.

On a recent visit to Waterloo we were looking for a nice dinner spot. We read reviews on the Brown Bottle and decided to give it a shot. Wow! We were so glad we did! We happened to go on half price wine night. Our server was extremely helpful and knowledgeable in helping us pick a nice bottle of red.... More

My friend had eaten here the night before and suggested it for our Friday night meal. She had salmon and I had chicken masala and a shrimp cocktail. She was very happy with the salmon and I enjoyed all but the amount of masala sauce. It was way too much for the size of the dish. The taste was good... More

What a romantic restaurant. A very intimate setting. The bread/oil appetizer was so good. My husband got the lasagna and it was amazing! I got the garlic chicken and they don't lie - it was very garlicky! A lot of pepper in it as well (which I didn't care for) but it still good.

Everything is good! The lasagna is legendary, pizza is thin and very good, Friendly service and comfortable surroundings. You CANNOT leave without having a piece of Brownie pie......real whipped cream.......so very very good!

Not a inexpensive place to eat but we'll worth the cost! We were stuffed but couldn't turn down the desert!

The restaurant has a lot going for it. An historic building, convenient location, very good food with some distinctive touches, and excellent service. They graciously accommodated our large group of twenty plus people even though we made reservations only earlier in the day. They even were kind enough to provide us a separate room away from the main dining area.... More
