We took a friend who was staying with us out for a meal here. Everything was absolutely perfect; nice, friendly helpful staff (we kept asking questions about the art works hanging on the wall) and the food was absolutely delicious. We all cleared our plates, decided to have a pudding and cleared our plates again. That's unusual for me! The... More

Another visit to one of my favourite restaurants, this time five family members at 1:30 on a Sunday afternoon. The acute overbooking experienced on my last visit was thankfully not in evidence this time -everything was running smoothly and to time. Meal was faultless - beautifully presented, cooked to perfection, cheerfully served and attended. three courses, coffee and drinks for... More

Came for a family Sunday Dinner. Always have a lovely meal here but this was particularly nice. Staff are lovely, chef even came out to check if we liked the food! Portion sizes were large. There is a new mini zoo which is well designed and maintained. Cant wait until next time!

In Wenglish three "Loveley's" is the equivalent to three gold medals at the Olympics and this place deserves such an accolade. Lovely place, lovely food, lovely service. Chef's soup of the day leek, potato and cauliflower cheese was superb. All the main courses were cooked to perfection. Make sure to leave room for dessert, we tried them all, difficult to choose... It's a lovely little restaurant, very nice interior and good service. Both had the gammon but we both said it was very salty, also the chips were very salty

After a 3 hour walk on the Carmarthen Fans my wife and I called into the Pen y car Inn for refreshments, we were told lunch had finished but the chef said he would check if he had enough food to feed two hungry walks, we gave our order and preference what meat we would like, well he came back... This is an absolute gem of a place, from the time you walk in the door your senses are tickled. The beers are excellent and the service impeccable. Then you climb the stairs to the beautiful loft and sit and await the picture that is delivered to your table , you sit and soak up the smell.......mmmm. The delight that... More

Used trip advisor to look for somewhere for lunch after visiting the fabulous Henrhyd falls - this place is fantastic! What a brilliant pub, fabulous lunch and the bonus of the micro zoo that the children loved! Shame this place is not closer to home otherwise I'd be there every week!
