Don’t let this place being connected to a bowling alley fool you, it was very good. We were driving through from TN and stayed in the area and didn’t want a chain restaurant, so we chose Clyde’s. Kelly was a fabulous waitress and told us...about all the good things they had to offer. We chose the prime rib with a wedge salad and a prime rib with mixed vegetables and loaded mashed potatoes. The salad was so fresh, every single bite of it and we split it and the other vegetables and they were just as delicious. The prime rib was very good too. Give this place a try, I would have definitely went back if we had stayed more than one night.More

I used to review every restaurant I experienced. These days I confine my reviews to incredibly great or deplorably horrible experiences. Went back to this one after a few month's absence. Parking lot had four cars counting mine. Upon entry at 5:15 p.m. on a...Saturday, the dining area was Empty. The music was much louder and the quantity of televisions had tripled. I ordered the Steak House Burger that had competed in recent years in the state-wide contest and had performed very well. The few blue cheese crumbles had grown into a mountain of melted paste that consumed the whole flavor of the burger to the point of inedible. It was absolutely gross. I pulled the hamburger patty from the mess and ate it with a fork to prevent getting violently ill, giving the rest back to the server. As I was handed the check, she proceeded to verbally put the fault on me for not bringing the abortion to her attention. I want to thank the new owners and new mgmt for destroying one of my favorite restaurants in Sioux City. A quiet potentially romantic place for chef inspired food has become a sports bar - we needed that cause SUX doesn't have any of those. You destroyed a burger that competed at a state-wide level and almost won. You alienated a long time customer. You don't deserve to carry the name from the previous owner. Upon exit, I drove by Four Brothers - they were packed to the walls with customers. Thankfully I have a new place to call home. Good Bye whoever you are,More

Saturday evening, before it got busy. Dinner with 4 of us. Very nice, varied menu. Spouse had appetizers for dinner, (fried pickles and street tacos) which were both excellent. The Guys ordered burgers (8 oz) with all the trimmings. I specifically asked for a medium...to medium rare burger. I was served a burger that was completely cooked all the way through, no pink, barely juicy. I asked the waitress if the cook made a mistake on cooking it, she replied "No, we cook all burgers well done for safety reasons" I guess is would have been nice to know that when i ordered it! I may have changed my order! We will be back, as the rest of the menu deserves eploration!More

While traveling through, we asked at our hotel front desk, about a local place to enjoy a meal, and her top pick was Clyde’s. We foiiowed her lead, and thoroughly enjoyed our meal, and time in this restaurant. We ate on the bar side, but...the menu for the dining room is available there also. Our server was excellent. Knew all about the menu, was personable, and attentive. Couldn’t ask for anything more! Meals were prepared well, and tasted great. Locals were friendly and we enjoyed talking with a few of them. We’ll make a point of stopping in here next time we’re going through townMore

Two of us went for an early dinner about 4pm on a Thursday. We sat in the dining room and there were only a few people in the bar and 1 other table occupied in the dining room. The one waitress could easily cover the...few patrons so we had great service and the waitress was super friendly. I ordered a 16oz draft Shiner Bock (only $2 Wow!) and my wife ordered a Margarita on the rocks ($5). My wife said her margarita was great; and of course Shiner is always good. We were very hungry and asked the waitress what she recommended. She said their burgers were great. my wife ordered a 1/2 pound cheeseburger and I ordered the Jambalaya Pasta. I told the waitress I like spicy, very spicy and she said she would tell the cook. Our food came and we ordered another round of drinks. My wife said her burger was great, cooked well done but still juicy. My Jambalaya was awesome;a huge plate of pasta with good sauce and chocked full of chicken, spicy sausage and shrimp; and very spicy just like I ordered. My mouth was tingling, my nose was running and eyes were watering. I ate every bite like a pig. We were stuffed but the waitress came back and said since we ordered a burger today was free cookie day and chocolate chip were warm out of the oven. OMG, now comes a huge (about 6" diameter) cookie with ice cream and 2 more spoons. Needless to say, we ate every bite. So, 4 drinks, 2 huge meals and desert; the bill was $41.75 including tax. We will definitely return.More

Ate dinner at Clyde's on a Saturday evening. Arrived just before the crowd. The service was quite good as we were seated right away. You could see a TV from almost every seat in the place, so Clyde's is a great place for watching your...favorite team. I had a delicious Steakhouse burger and my wife had a taco bowl salad. We were both pleased with our food and would go back again. The menu had plenty of choices to satisfy most tastes.More

We received our drinks and the waitress said she’d be right back to get our order. We waited for over 10 minutes and she apparently forgot we were even there. She visited a couple other tables, made drinks a few times and we were still...waiting. We got up and left. Have eaten there before, never again!More
