The food was good and the servers were friendly however the atmosphere is more like a cafeteria than a restaurant. You order your food at a window and then it’s brought to your table by the server. If you’re passing through the area it could...be a good stop for lunch but it’s not a place I would recommend for a cozy night out.More

My taste buds were doing a happy dance with every bite or the everything omelet with very crispy hashbrowns and a blueberry pancake. I almost didn't go in because it is located inside a gas station....literally a hole in a wall within the gas station....The server and cook were very nice with prompt service. This omelet was stuffed with all kinds of goodness. It was one of the best omelets I've had in a very long time. Also very inexpensive. For example, the blueberries added to the pancake was only 25 cents. Anytime I am traveling between Des Moines and Omaha I will definitely stop in againMore

We have made this cafe a 'rest stop' as we travel along I-29. The employees are always friendly and their homemade lunch plates are always great. The broasted chicken was a delicious, it was their Sunday lunch plate offered 9/1/2019. The location is so convenient...off the interstate and the small cafe is adjoining the Shell gas station.More

Took a long time to get our meals. Breakfast was good. Waitress was rude and did not come back to check on us once.

Used to be better food here. The waitress messed up several smaller things about my meal, in her defense she was working by herself during lunch time .

Standing tall just outside the Corn Crib restaurant is the giant corn stalk. Great opportunity to do a selfie with great Iowa scenery in the background.

Located in a Shell station at exit 34 off of I-80. This was our second stop and the food, while very basic, is quite good. Typical diner menu with daily specials. Service is good. Great for a pit stop and a bite.

Got the 2pc. broasted chicken with mashed potatoes/gravy, roll and coleslaw. The Coleslaw was VERY good. The 2pc. broasted chicken consisted of a tiny wing and a very small thigh, not enough meat to to comment on except to say they need to change their...grease cause it tasted fishy. The mashed potatoes and gravy needs a ton of salt & pepper to get any flavor out of it. The roll was tiny, cold and unremarkable. The staff were loud, and inappropriate for any restaurant. The convenience store cashier was telling a story using the "f" word every other sentence. A very low class dive, period.More

Not sure where to start with this one. Normally I review with a sense of optimism but this time the bright spots are hard to find. They say service is king but at this establishment they never heard that rule. The waitress was not pleasant...and acted like it was an inconvenience just to be there. The house salad was lettuce and cheese. The spaghetti had no flavor at all. The only bright spot in the meal was the corned beef hash was fairly good. I would not recommend stopping here for the store or restaurant.More

We were hoping for some "small town Iowa hospitality " and home cooking. We were barely acknowledged by the staff. Atmosphere was depressing and dingy. Food was average, inconsistent temps, even on the same plate (Cold gravy, hot beans). We were looking for something different...than another fast food highway meal, but this was disappointing and one of the few options at this exit. Based on reviews, we were hoping for better.More

Very good food for such a small place! We were not dissatisfied with the food we ordered. It came promptly and well prepared. Best sourdough toast I've had anywhere. Order it medium toasted, it's great.

We will shamefully admit that as we were traveling we were excited to see an exit sign for Godfather's Pizza. We went in this little diner and surely enough, they had a Godfather's Express inside as well. We didn't order any diner food and got...the Taco Pizza and Streusel Desert Pizza, both were delicious. The wait was horribly long but it is a small diner with only 2 people working and they were incredibly busy. It seems that the diner food is a hit, judging by the amount of locals in there.More

Stopped here for lunch while on a road trip through the Midwest. Really good food! We were pleasantly surprised because it is such an unassuming place - a rustic cafe at a gas station off I-80, in the middle of nowhere. The lady serving our...table was nice and chatty. Our family ordered burgers and pancakes/eggs and everything was good.More

I have been eating here when in town for over twenty years. This place has great breakfast! Always good service, next door to a decent hotel if you're desperate, only a few blocks from an incredibly lovely bread & breakfast called Pryor House.
