Enjoyed the meal - the decor is nice and atmosphere nice for a quiet dinner for a couple. Food was delicious - my dish - drunken noodles with chicken was favorable without being overly spicy (I enjoy spicy) - and the chicken was tender. I would go again to try a few more.

Owner is always present and attentive. Very willing to alter the preparation of your food to suit your needs. Authentic? YES! Great atmosphere in historic Muscatine hotel.

Tantra Tai Bistro is my once a week must have and I love their Mango Coconut Fried Rice with chicken! I have even turned one of my friends on to the dish and he orders nothing else now! Love the atmosphere and the different food selections than are available at other similar restaurants. Service is always quick and efficient and... More

I don't think anyone who works here is from Thai descent. This used to be outstanding but then it was bought by someone else. Now they don't even serve peanut Thai sauce and they didn't even know what I was talking about.

My wife and I frequent this place. With work we travel a lot and have found this is the best Thai food we have ever had anywhere. The Mango Fried Rice with Chicken and Shitake Mushroom/Asparagus dish are wonderful. The sour soup is the best we have ever had with a very unique flavor. I guarantee you will never have... More

I like this spot for my girls nights out. We can get martinis from the Pearl across the hall and have a terrific meal in a lovely resturant. I usually start with the sesame shrimp appetizer (not on the menu but they serve it anytime as it's sometimes the special) with the sesame chicken. I get the peanut sauce on... More

Surprise excellent true Thai dishes (behind a loud, popular riverfront bar). We dined off almost the entire list of appetizers-- without a single miss. Not as spicy as some Thai dishes can be, which was fine with us. We only hope the locals find and appreciate what they have.

I have visited Tantra on two occasions. They have some unique dishes with good flavor. The drunken noodles are very good. My only complaint is that the dining room isn't very loud and I have never heard them play music...so it feels like everyone can hear your conversation. Some dividers between tables would make a big difference.

The Thai cuisine is very well prepared. The menu has a wide variety of offerings. The appetizer selection is good. The atmosphere of this restaurant located in the Muscatine Hotel across from the riverfront is wonderful. I have never been disappointed with a meal here.
