I live in Chicago and have friends in Castle Pines that always talk about “their” local steakhouse. They took me there last week and I now know why they always Rave about Dukes! Great service and everyone’s food was perfect! Also an amazing value! Wish...Dukes was in the Chicago area!More

Meat always cooked to perfection. Servers are friendly and attentive. This is a local restaurant staffed by locals.

We asked some locals for a nice restaurant to have a family celebration. Many locals have Dukes a high rating. The restaurant was extremely noisy and a little dated. The service was good but the meals were just horrible. The rib ribs was extremely tough...and over cooked. The steak were fair but not that outstanding. What a huge letdown.More

I have been going to Dukes for a long time. I usually get the Prime Rib. However, the steak quality has drop. A lot of grizzle which I had not experienced before. I'm still going to go though. Maybe I just got a bad steak...a couple of times. It happens. I have no doubt if I had mentioned it at the time the staff would have fixed it immediately.More

Noisiest place we’ve eaten in a LONG time. Food was meh. Service was very slow because of understaffing.

We have always enjoyed our visits to Duke's. The Santa Fe chicken and burgers are great and service has always been excellent. I am gluten sensitive and haven't had any trouble finding things I can eat.

We finally decide to get out of the house and eat dinner during COVID. There were 8 of us. Reservations were made, they seated us as soon as we got there. Unfortunately we could sit in the bar, have a drink and wait for the...rest of our party to arrive. So we had drinks at our table. We were told ahead of time that we needed to turn the table over in 90 min due to COVID. Tables were at least 6 feet away, server was delightful and the ribeye was delicious. I'd definitely go back.More

ANYONE WITH A FOOD ALLERGY BEWARE!!! We have been supporting local business as much as possible over the last few months. For my father in laws 85th birthday we decided to give Duke's a try since it had such great reviews. I have a severe...nut allergy, and asked if they could accomodate it over the phone when I made the reservation, they said yes, I also let our server know as soon as we sat down. She said ok, took our drink order and came back 5 minutes later with pretzel bread for the table. I asked her if it was safe for me to eat she replied with an eye roll, "how am I supposed to know it is your allergy". I proceeded to ask her if they make them in house, if there is any chance of cross contamination with where they are prepared in the kitchen and if she could please check with the chef as my allergy is severe. If I can't have them thats OK, but I NEED to know if I can't. She replies with "I dont know the box is about this big (makes a hand gesture) and its in the freezer, I am not going to check it." And walked away. In utter disbelief I walk up the the host stand and ask for the manager, tell her what just happened and that we want a new server. The manager came up to the table a couple minutes later to inform me that indeed the pretzels were NOT safe for me to eat, and that there WERE pinenuts in the sauce she served with them. If I would have tried it, I would have had instant anaphylaxis. The disregard, and non understanding of the importance of a food allergy is completely unacceptable and can and will kill someone. .More

There were 15 of us in our group (yes, we made a reservation) and we were treated so well by everyone there. We were seating at two table near enough so we could turn and talk to each other while conforming to social distancing. Our...servers were polite, funny and made sure we knew what to expect. Our food was off the charts. I asked for a little pink in my steak and perfection. I was in heaven. I spoke with the others and they all raved about it. Some had fish and chips which looked wonderful with just enough batter to cover the fish without overpowering it. Others had shrimp including my husband who asked if we could come back again. We were seated outside under a canopy which came into use when it began to rain for a short period. Understand the servers were making sure we got our food, checked on us and made sure we were safe. It just felt good to be out and being taken care of while we not only enjoyed the restaurant but each other.More

Had a friend invite my wife and I to join he and his wife for dinner one night. He asked if we have ever been to Duke's. We had not, but I heard a lot about it so was interested in trying. We got there...and were seated immediately for our reservation. Server was prompt and friendly. Handed us menus and touched on some highlights (suggested some of her favorites as well). 3 of us ended up ordering the Prime Rib and one the beef tips. She said the Beef tips were really good. As for the Prime Rib, WOW. That was one of the best Prime Ribs I had ever had. It was cooked perfectly, tender and juicy. All 3 of us who ordered had the same reaction. Definitely worth it. We will be going back again and I will definitely be getting the Prime Rib again.More

The dining room is lit up like a big box store with 1980’s pink and red decor. Cloth napkins went by the wayside as did their coupon offerings. Some of the menu items like the salads and steaks are way overpriced but the burger is...still reasonable. Speaking of steaks these are skimpy thin cuts that get lost in the space of your plate. The waitstaff try hard but have a big turnover as they have to contend with unhappy patrons. There are several other steakhouses within a few miles that will satisfy for just a few dollars more. Stick with the pub fare here and you’ll play it safe.More

I’m not sure what everyone else finds exceptional about this place because I found it to be average at best. I had the beef tips and there was so much salty gravy on it that I took my spoon and scooped up all the excess...sauce from the potatoes and the tips. There was so much that if I didn’t know there was food under the gravy I would have thought I had a plate of brown gravy. The salad was ok and the vegetables were ok but I would class this as more diner food than a steakhouse. The people I went with are regulars and raved over the food but I found it average and won’t be going back.More

It was very busy on a Saturday evening and we were sat immediately (Party of 2). From the very beginning we were greeted with a smile and made to feel at home. The service was fast and we were tended to on a regular basis...without having to call for anyone. The food was good and all were at the right temperatures. For being so busy you would never know it, the atmosphere was a calm and warm. Thanks to all of the Duke's team for making such a great experience.More

Prices are fair, quality of beef is perfect. Make reservations for highly desired times. The bar scene can get quite crowded and somewhat noisy.
