I had lunch with two of my former classmates. We were able to enjoy a leisurely lunch while catching up on happenings. Their delicious food is made from scratch and served by friendly staff. I loved their decor and the homey environment. Be sure to...save room for a piece of their homemade dessert!More

We had an hour to kill in Manchester and ended up parked in front of The Bread Basket. Upon entering, we were treated to a three-course lunch experience that felt and tasted like being back in grandma's home as a kid. The white chocolate banana...cream pie and the cranberry orange bread were the highlights, but the atmosphere and service were as memorable as the food. Not the kind of experience you would have at any other soup and sandwich establishment.More

The best food option in Manchester, and it's not even close. I had the avocado club wrap, lasagna soup, and banana cream pie. The club had the freshest avocado and was a wrap you just felt good after eating. The soup was very filling with...great flavor. And the cream pie was the best banana cream pie I've ever had (not kidding). Price of the meal was similar to a burger meal at burger king. No brainer optionMore

This eatery is perfect for meeting friends for lunch or just to shop! Upon walking in the door, you are quickly greeted with friendly and willing staff. During lunch, the wait staff is excellent and a quick chat with the owner is to be expected--...this is almost better than the food itself!! The experience here is one of a kind and you will be planning your next visit before you even leave! On top of that, I have no excuse to not get lunch at The Bread Basket on a weekly basis, all because their call ahead to-go window is just too tempting!! On top of the experience, the food itself is excellent. This place is always a first pick for myself and other locals because of their HOME MADE food!! One of my favorites is the hot beef sundae entree followed by a fresh piece of cheesecake for dessert. I have never had a bad meal here. My mouth is watering just writing this review!More

We really enjoy our visits to the Tea Room in Manchester, Ia. It is always neat, friendly, and very good food. The deserts are always delicious. We are always ready to go there for morning coffee, lunch or for afternoon break.

Jackie had a Christmas dinner and music program. The food was awesome and the Christmas music put you in the Christmas spirit. Always a great choice in delicious desserts.

Oh that’s hard to say. Strawberry rhubarb pie had been popular lately. Fresh strawberry pie, bread pudding, bishop’s chocolate pie, apple, strawberry shortcake. We do a lot of different desserts.

No you certainly don't. Some groups just like to make reservations especially if they are on a schedule for the day. We welcome walk ins and if you'd like to make reservations you certianly can. We do suggest reservations... More
